Voting Results, Extra Version Development, and Version 0.25 Progress
Hi everyone!
A week has passed, and it’s time to share the results of the latest poll. As many of you have already guessed, Option 4 — "Expanded Fair Scene" won by a huge margin. With that decided, we’d like to explain not only how the upcoming Extra Version expansions will work but also how things will specifically play out for Option 4.
This was the only one of the six options where the new scenes will be available only if you set up the characters in a specific "wrong" way on the fair map. More specifically, you’ll need to send Will, Irma, and Elyon to the Breast Size Contest in order to unlock the new scenes.
However, this doesn’t mean that this choice — or any other "wrong" choice — isn’t considered canon. After the release of Version 0.24, some players raised concerns that "incorrect" placements weren’t part of the canon story. We want to make it clear: While choosing the optimal placements earns you more scenes and more money during the fair, making different choices still has meaningful consequences. Specifically, poor management during the fair means you'll earn less money, and later on, from Versions 0.25 to 0.28, you’ll experience the consequences of that financial shortfall in the form of new scenes. In other words, all choices are canon — every path you take matters. A perfect setup brings you one set of scenes in Version 0.24, while a "bad" setup leads to different consequences and scenes later in the storyline.
To put it simply:
The new scenes with Elyon, Irma, and Will in Witch Hunter Ex will only be available under a specific scenario where the characters were sent to the Breast Size Contest. This is what made Option 4 stand out from the other poll choices.
Going forward, we’ll aim to design future Extra content in a way that won’t require you to play through the story differently just to access the new material.
About the Extra Version Development
Work on the Extra Version will begin soon.
Right now, our top priority is Version 0.25, but Witch Hunter Ex will still be released before the next major update.
About Version 0.25 Progress
We’ve completed almost all of the main backgrounds for Version 0.25! Unlike many of the backgrounds from 0.24, these new ones will appear regularly throughout future updates — not just within one version. Think of them as part of the visual rebuilding of the city after the chaos caused by the escaped criminals.
Work on the new scenes is continuing, and we’re also preparing several additions to the overall game experience. Not all of these changes will fit into Version 0.25, some will likely roll over into 0.26. Either way, we believe you’ll really enjoy the improvements when you see them. We’ll share more about these additions in a future post.
