No new devblog, last one was mid Feb. I'll be waiting until midnight for that "Done by Q1" promise, but I can tell you nobody saw "Q1" and expected it to be literally the last day of March before something's posted lmao (Assuming it does go up in the next 12 hours, which I'm highly doubting due to aforementioned no blogs about it)
Then again, when I mentioned how it would be better to post more frequent, smaller updates I got nothing but sass for it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The patreon's gonna take a hit if this doesn't deliver on at least one promised timeframe after a year of nothing but backend fixes and delays. I already dropped support months ago over these delays so I've got no skin left in the game, but I still want you to succeed, and this is not how success is going to happen if even the UI can't get upgraded on time, let alone how long it'll take to draw 3 more pictures of Tonks and release that. Tonks doesn't even have reference pictures yet to work with outside her chibi and one portrait, and Cho took forever under the same problems just to get to a non repeatable BJ that while absolutely outstanding, to this day still locks you out of her path the moment it's completed.

I am not sure how the standard of applying the 'abandoned' tag is, but isn't this thread literally abandoned as it has been about a year since its latest update and the promised 'Q1 Release' has not come as planned?
People sure seem to clamor for Abandoned tags around F95 when development is slower than they would want

As the devs are very active on Discord, and publicly share all their code tweaking to the public via git-logs, no Abandoned tag is necessary

I love that people are bitching this is abandoned the same day it gets updated.
From what the dev post says, this is entirely a UI change, and the new content will come later. In which case, some bitching is warranted IMHO, at least if you're one of the 1,700 Patrons.
I'm downloading to check, but if so, I'll be very glad I cancelled my sub in November. I'm seen other devs make entire games by themselves in the time it's taken these guys to make this update.
No new content AGAIN?? we still don't have content that was cut years ago back.

The content you're referring to has been gone for longer than it was in the game at this point. It's not coming back, as it was a vestigial dead end. It's time to move on man.
Too soon, its the pre release so you can try out the new UI, the content update is after bug fixes I suppose.
And regarding the new UI, there are some changes I think are unneccesary. Like object interaction where there is just one function, such as looking for items in the cupboard or the fireplace. Its become an unnecessary two click interaction now.
And the outfit schedule has lost the override function for outfit time of day.
These aren't big issues at all, just felt a bit strange.
for anyone looking to just watch some replays (cho favors + final post-match event and luna events), i quickly made this just for that purpose. go to the game/scripts/interface folder, replace "cheats.py" with the one uploaded here and delete "cheats.rpyc". it adds 2 submenus in the experimental cheats menu.

agreed about a couple of them being pointless but my understanding is it's a brand new thing programing wise (I know nothing about programing) so it was semi "All or nothing".
One of the main communicators/designers on the Silver project said once this is done updates should become more frequent again, this redesign is what the vast majority of the year was spent on.
He drops by these forums every so often, he might be able to put it in more clear terms, but effectively it was a ground up restructuring to allow them easier changes in the future.
How to open the experimental cheat menu? in the FAQ it says:

The cheats menu got moved to the desk. The FAQ needs an update
I have been playing this new version (1.47) on an ARM based Chromebook, and apart from the 'flirting with teachers' where she gets Lockhart's autograph crashing the game every time, no matter which option is chosen, and the RenPy error screen appearing when I ask Cho who is knocking, it is much more stabil this time around. - I just tried 1.47.1 on my PC and the Lockhart event still crashes the game, but the Cho issue seems to be solved (at least in the Win version).
However they are stretching the RenPy engine to it's limits; on the Chromebook I have had dialog boxes be on top of each other, which is kind of impressive for an engine that can't multitask, skipping through the text in 1.47 is very choppy compared to 1.46.1 - if they don't introduce images to go with the all the public requests, I hope they reintroduce the 'here's your points, now FO' button.
As for the new interface, it's fine with a mouse, I imagine it's better with a touchscreen, but with a trackpad it is more cumbersome and I miss being able to see the status of the girls and the dedicated 'work button' in the top corner.
I must say, after 8 years in the making of a mod that is one part quality of life update and one part add-on, it feels underwhelming. If someone made a "bronze mod" of the original, making the books be a "buy it and you have read it" kind of thing and maybe adding more pictures to the events, we would have something greater than both the original and the silver mod... as it is now, the original is a slog to get through and the silver mod is a lot of great ideas with very little follow through.
