The new update broke the saves again
I changed the files the way Phuong2406 said and they worked for me:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit: File "game/scripts/doll/clothes.rpy", line 417:
return DollCloth(self.name, self.categories, self.type, self.id, [x for x in self.color] if self.color else None, self.zorder, self.unlocked, self.level, self.blacklist, modpath, self, self.render_style)
Changed it to:
return DollCloth(self.name, self.categories, self.type, self.id, [x for x in self.color] if self.color else None, self.zorder, self.unlocked, self.level, self.blacklist, modpath, self)

Should be running fine now

Try it out.

Edit: For those who don´t know how to do this, just open the file in a wordpad and serach the first part of the code "return DollCloth", it shoul lead you to the part of the code that you need to replace. then make a copy of the original file and change it.

Okay, you know what? Some time ago, I was pissed with this thing. The development was so slow that I really thought the devs behind this were scammers, like some others (looking at you, Dr Bones). Turns out, the game has been completely revamped. Gameplay feels a lot less laggy than it was, for one, much more fluid. The scenes I have gotten in this past hour playing look better than they did as well. My apologies, development team, I was unfamiliar with your game :coffee:

Disable multithreading - at least that worked on my chromebook.
I've tested the newest version of WTS in Crostini both x86 and ARM, and I'd highly recommend running the Linux version on a Chromebook as it is plain faster and better.

You will brick your save once I fix the issue on our end. I would not recommend doing that.

There is some way that Renpy 8.4.1 can run on Win 7, but need a little effort. And there's another problem too maybe just my computer but in my case antivirus detect All Renpy 8.4.1 games as a virus, so when I want to play the game first I must turn off my Antivirus View attachment 5281680
I assume you've downgraded Python to version 3.9? If you let us know what you did, I can at least offer W7 users some tips.

By the way, is it normal that every time I open the game, the text scaling and vertical text spacing return to "default". It would be nice if we didn't have to change it every time we want to play.

tried running it and it says it requires windows 10 or higher to run. windows compatibility doesn't help. running windows 8.1. any workaround (that doesn't require i hose my PC by installing Windows 10 ?)

Would making it update manually work? not sure how to make it manually update though.

The hearts system was developed by us, later on superseded by the simpler completion system. The original was just a basic menu. I recommend everyone to play the original masterpiece before trying our spinoff.

Was anxious to play and then I couldn't load my saved game.

Then decided there's probably enough new stuff hidden in there that it's worth starting all over again (although I am using some cheats).

HOWEVER, I cannot figure out how to gauge my status with Hermione... In the old game, I could see the stars and know if I needed to talk more or move to the next step and so on. Is that still here and if so, how do I access it? (or is it just the progress bar under the list?)

So... where the fuck is the cheat menu? The UI redesign is weird, but I'll roll with it - but if I want to save some useless grinding since I've seen the first 2/3s of the game like a dozen times already, the cheat menu is essential. Money/items/rep - all those should be freely edited if we want to, considering how many repetitive steps we need to go through on a new save to get to the latter part of the game.
Did no one answer this yet? At the desk, there is a red hand. That opens the cheat.
Edit: to be clear, on the radial menu.

As a longtime player of this game, I gotta say... I really hate the new UI. It feels more tedious to do simple things like click on the fireplace, and maneuver through menus (that also eat up a lot of screen). Not a fan of the circle opening up and moving the mouse around to get to what I want. It's a bit "extra." This isn't The Witcher. Simple is smooth, smooth is quick, and quick gets us on with the damn show (the reason we are all here).

Not to be a total downer, it runs really smoothly compared to past versions, and even though I preferred the old menu style, it all looks pretty. The details with the movements and fonts is nice. And the newer content and dialogue is really great. But, dang maybe you guys should have dialed that UI back some. It was a lot of stuff no one really asked for all at once. The first hour or so, it's like trying to maneuver in an entirely different game.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll get used to it, and thanks for keeping this game alive.

My thoughts on the update:

First, about the UI changes, icons, graphics, text, etc. I actually liked them a lot. At first, the sudden change felt a bit strange, but you get used to it. What I didn’t like at the start, and honestly found a little annoying, was the pause between one character’s line and the next. It felt like a little “hiccup,” not very smooth in the flow of dialogue. But even that I eventually got used to. Overall, the game feels more polished now, so congrats on that.

As for the additions to Hermione’s scenes, they were definitely welcome. For me personally, they didn’t create any new feelings, but for new players they’ll probably be really fun. So that’s another positive point.

Now, the most important part… Tonks. At first, I thought the idea of reporting each bit of progress to Tonks was cool. But as I kept doing it, it quickly became… boring, because it’s basically the same scene with different text. It didn’t really make much sense to keep repeating it. I think in the future her reactions to each bit of the Genie’s progress could be worked on in more varied ways beyond just the text. I know that’s probably very difficult and time-consuming since there are so many scenes, but it would improve things by creating real anticipation for something new instead of sameness. As for her blowjob, that was pretty fun, nothing much to complain about. Maybe in the future add some quirky variation beyond just her big tongue, I’ll leave that to you. The titjob was fine as well, nothing much to add there.

Now about the public favors. They’re secondary anyway, but for me they also got tiring because of the repetition without any visual stimulus. Then again, I’ve never been much of a fan of public favors in the first place, so…

In the end, for me it was a good update. If you count it all up, there were a lot of changes to the game. But speaking from my personal experience, it was just okay, nothing really surprised me. I hope in the next updates things move forward more with Tonks, but especially with Astoria and Cho.

Bugs? I noticed two. The first was that when starting a report to Tonks, her icon would stay on the scene. The second was that after the scene ended, the screen stayed dark.

I believe the update experience would be improved more through additions rather than just changes. For example, with Hermione’s favors, adding new, more exciting variations. The “talk to me” option, if really thought through, could evolve a lot, like bringing in Snape, bringing in other girls, the Genie asking them to come closer to receive the “reward,” etc. The dance favor could also include other professors besides Snape, or even have her dance with Cho in a competition, or with another girl, and so on.

Anyway, I won’t keep throwing out ideas, but the point is that this kind of addition would create a better experience for players than just changing the look of scenes that already exist (although I would definitely love a CG for the naked Cho scenes heheh…).
