Ok this game has so many branches I can't keep track of shit. How does Harper fit into this? She wasn't in the update for me. Just Melinda's interrogation.

Harper didn't come into the equation for me either, but I'm guessing that's because we didn't keep the device. My best guess is had we hung onto the thing we'd have ended up handing it off to Harper after the Melinda encounter.
Yeah that was it. That option presented itself if you keep it.
Honestly it's a ridiculous choice. There's no reason to trust either of them, but at least Melinda might tell you something or help you in the future. Harper has just been obnoxious, hostile and horny. She isn't helpful. lol
Generally speaking that's one of the main challenges with this game and the reason I don't normally play crime avns. Everyone is a douchebag. The Stars, Politicians, Rats, whoever else. We aren't given a reason to connect or care about any of the groups because they are all horrible.
This game felt a bit different to me because the story felt unique, the Mc is a decent dude and Kate and Luna seemed trustworthy, caring and hot (lol) at the start. It seemed like they might form their group or something. But nope not at all. By this point I don't even trust or like Kate.

Just started season 2, and the game is already amnesic. Who the fuck is harper? First 5 second, I'm already interacting with her as if MC knows her. In my PT in season 1, I didn't interact with her at all. Yet the game forces me to go with it.
Edit: Know MC is talking about a confrontation that never happen. *sigh*

Yeah, a few things even do get mixed up in the same season, and because of the weird tags the dev uses, it seems he gets them mixed up sometimes because there are quite a few instances where they end up pointing to the wrong thing in the summary and gallery and so on, in essence making it so that even when you do choose something, it's counted as something else; and there are a lot of instances where there are inconsistencies
Add all that to the fact that the MC is portrayed as dumb as can be, be that with Kate/Chris ... Eva/Attackers ... Harper/Orion etc .....

I realized that you can somehow keep it for yourself if the author showed you another way in the fork (at the end of the chapter) other than without a device. but Melinda is robbing me anyway.

If the MC refuses to give it to Melinda but agrees to meet with her, she'll take it by force, yes. There's no way for him to keep it.

The MC can convince her that he doesn't have the device during that initial confrontation in Olivia's flat, leading to the top branch: He will then lose it later on, either giving it away voluntarily to Harper or Melinda or being robbed by the latter.
The conditions for getting away with the device the first time around depend somewhat on your choices up to then (what's the MC's existing relationship with Melinda, has he been fucking Olivia). The general walkthrough hint is:

Melinda is obviously holding back with what she knows about the MC, than the not so subtle threats and the bitch killed the hot blonde...
Harper is a bitch from the get to go, hostile towards the MC, not telling anything either...
The most funny thing was the choice ''who do you trust more'', lol...you didn't even asked or got anything in return for this oh so important thing. Frankly i'd rather throw it in the trash somewhere as giving it to either of those bitches...
Beside that, well, we still don't know shit about anything, nor do we have plans for anything, which gets really tiresome.
The scene with Nemesis was dumb, like girl you disabled him with a flashbang and rushed in, just use the damn sword to kill the disabled dude, problem solved.

Yeah...don't think i ever finished such a series because i'd lose interest long before it nears the end, i really hate that kind of thing. Just as bad as pilling up secrets and never answering anything.As is the case with some TV series, everything will probably happen in the last chapter

Because so far, we really don't know shit about anything and the updates aren't really big...like it feels the main plot has yet to start...

It doesn't matter what choices I make, despite the fact that I fucked Harper in the previous update on this route, I can't get these last 2 pictures so I have no idea what I'm missing.
Honestly the more this game gets updates the less I have a desire to play it because of all the needlessly convoluted routes that depend on a single choice you made 15 moons ago that you don't even remember making or thinking it was important ... Last update I spent hours trying to get the Harper scene just because I saw a picture of it. I had no idea prior to that image that it was possible to have scenes with her.
But at this point enough is enough and I'm only going to be playing this every few updates on a single route because this shit is just not funny. I'd rather go solve a jigsaw puzzle, do a sudoku or crossword than spend hours trying to miraculously find the conrrect sequences of choice in this game to see the different scenes. This shit is like trying to solve the whole genome sequence of a platypus from scratch ...

Decide to give the device to Harper, but then agree to meet Melinda when she calls. (It's the "piss off everybody" option.)
There are areas in the story where the Dev calls a girl him, I would recommend he goes over the entire story to straighten these mistakes out, nothing worse then calling a guy her or a girl him
