I'm sorry to single you guys out like this, but do you realise what site you're on? The moral grandstanding just feels a little weak on a website dedicated to pirating content. Do you keep the same energy when it concerns DAZ models and the work that it takes away from 3D modellers?

That actually happens quite a bit.

Not with Daz3D assets, since nobody here cares whose original content those were, but with developers that rip art from (usually Japanese) games or from popular adult artists without permission. Apparently some of us are rather selective about what kind of piracy we ought to condone.
To be fair, most games using ripped art aren't worth playing and hard to fap to due to the inconsistent style. Occasionally you even get people losing their shit over real porn games, even though it's basically impossible to create that kind of content yourself.

It's not.
Apparently SamDoesArt got royally buttfucked by AI development, as I assume many other artists will be in the near future. None of that is your fault and bitching about it here won't suddenly stop that process and turn back time.

My pet peeve with ai cg isn't the questionable copyright, but the fact that most of it is used for games that don't really offer much else besides the art currently. It's a bit like the early wave of games with 3D models, the tech is widely available but not fully utilized.
Not a knock on your game, which I haven't played yet. I hear it's a tad rough in places so I'll wait for a smoother experience before giving it a try.

Yeah he's been really unfortunate in that the AI, for whatever reason, can work with his style really well. I'm still using the same LORA that came out 7 months ago and it's holding up well even today, which is pretty impressive. I don't think it has hurt him financially since it just means his name is on everyone's lips, but I can understand being weirded out by your style being used for material of a sexual character. Like you said though, the ship has already sailed and there's no stopping this progress now

And no worries! I hope you'll give it a try sometime when it's in a better state. Aside from the usual continuation of the story and classes content, I'll be looking at fixing the 3D controller, possibly implement a first person mode, and get some more RPG elements in. Based on the votes on Patreon, there should also be a duel gamemode/mini game coming soon as well, which will be the overarching gameplay element alongside the usual story and porn

Honestly am a fan of the game and its play style. I just kinda want a quest log esk thing that tells me what I can do at any given time in the game rather than run around the massive castle. It's fun to explore the first time around and find areas where I can fall out of the map and stuff but that would be nice. Just to be clear I mean more so for side events because the main events are pretty clear. I just get annoyed by games where I go through my playthrough just to miss a few good bits.

If you're on the very first stage of Ghoul Mischief, you need to wait until past curfew by sitting in the chair in your room when you have the Day's End quest. Then you can go down on the first floor of the Western Building, and in the room where the old american guy is, there is a ladder at the far back

some suggestions imo:
- navigation needs a real map (divided in floor) with your position and an indicator where you need to go, map is too big and too many doors to pe played without visual help. or/and add a visual clue which door you need to open next to go in the correct area at least.
- some variations in portrait to express a bit more emotions based on what they are saying.

1. the mouse cursor often vanished, and in from top view, never appear and I have to guess where it is. Impossible to manage the menu, really difficult to guess the menu to click. To exit the game I must kill the process because I don't know where the mouse pointer is...

2. in the dialog, is not always easy to guess who says what.

3. missing of navigation system. Try to use the map provided, but not easy.

Yeah I'm looking at movement and the bug with the cursor rn. You can fix it by pressing escape and tabbing in and out a few times, but it's definitely annoying

I really want to like this game and try it but it's so buggy you can't even play it.

Can AI art be consistent enough to use the same models again and again throughout a game?

I believe within a year or two defiantly. AI Art is going to making the hentai gaming space explode with good content. People that can write good stories and games but have no artistic skills are going to have a good time

Indeed, I prefer 2d topdown pixel art (and a map for the love of god) and what not with the CG art, much easier and quicker to navigate. This game is too much of a headache for me to get anywhere.

The game is buggy, very buggy. Clipping through walls, floors, doors. No warps when you fall too far OOB. Using emergency warp puts you in another character. Pressing esc whilst in the map gets rid of the map, leaves the menu up but still allows the player to run around
I can tell a lot of effort has gone into it, but I'd recommend giving it out to patrons/community to QA test it before releasing new versions.

Other than the bugs, its a great idea. I'd like to see easier access to map and quest logs (perhaps map access could be mapped to letter M, and quest log to another button like letter L). I know there's a first-person view at least being thought about, and if a mini map was possible further down the line, it'd be extremely useful, as it's extremely hard to navigate as every interior looks exactly the same. Maybe even subtle signs that lead you to the right places?
Also, some of the text is incredibly difficult to read, so putting a opaque box behind the text would allow that text to be read.

Again, great idea and will eventually be a great game.
