Also fair. I typically try to differentiate WCA from the "porn game" label primarily because when players see "porn game" they expect a lot of things that WCA just does not do. The perfect ThunderChad McChickMagnet MC whose dick is half the length of his arm and who has ladies fawning over him no matter how badly he treats them, an H-scene every 30 seconds that's just one position, 3 speeds, and bust... and horrible story lol. I try not to associate WCA with those assumptions as much as possible because god, I have played some awful ones. Heck, even some of the good ones still have a lot of these pitfalls.CAUTION! Great feedback. Our Naiad friend's story was written before we got Nook back, and before I realized that these stories needed to be main story agnostic lol. Will adjust.
Yup. At the time, I didn't want to do a ton of walking renders, because you don't have to show every little thing to get the point across. So I had them transitioning to the next place off-camera and capping off each section with Aurum's observations to indicate some understanding and intuition on his part. It was very early on in the story, and I wanted to fit in ways to showcase his strengths and weaknesses since you're essentially getting to know the character you're playing in the whole first season, but without bloating it with generic renders like most other AVNs if that makes sense. Now that I look back, I realize it honestly wouldn't have hurt anything, and I wouldn't need to shoot the entire walk to the next area, etc. I've learned a lot in 3 years.

Deliberate blank screens are often interpreted as missing, cause unfortunately when they are missing that's often how it looks. Maybe take the standardized test route and in the top corner of a black slide put.
VictorSeven I deleted the previous copy, re-downloaded from the newly updated itch.io link, and tried again. Unfortunately, I also had the same problem again. I even deleted WCA's Saves folder from the system Ren'py folder, just to make sure it wasn't a problem with incompatible older save files. The game should act as if it's a brand new install. I also dug into the app contents and, while I'm not a programmer by any means, I couldn't find anything that looked to be missing anywhere. I even downloaded the PC version to compare the contents. (Once you get into the actual guts, Ren'py's program struc†ure is basically the same no matter the platform.)Thanks! I'll try that tonight. It's frustrating because I can't tell what's happening at all. There's no Ren'py log, no system log, and no error codes, so I have no idea where to look. I can tell you I'm running this on MacOS 12.7.6 on a 2015 Core i7 iMac and that I've played dozens of Ren'py games on it (including prior versions of WCA) with no problems. Sorry it's being a pain!

Okay someone in my Discord said that archivers like WinRAR and 7zip don't preserve Mac and Linux executable permissions, and I used 7zip on these builds because it's faster. So I just recompressed with the onboard Windows tool and replaced the files. Please let me know if this works, and if so, I'll be swapping to that.

Ignore the following. I forgot to update the Ren'py plugin for Joiplay. Fixed this riiiight up . And, uh, you might want to do the same thing to the PC version as well. I didn't want to say anything before because it just seemed too ridiculous, but the current PC build won't launch in Joiplay on Android. Version 1.2.2.2 ran fine, though. I know there's an Android build now, but I started out playing WCA on Joiplay so all my saves are already there.

Some of those DLC characters you say will have to be bought really look like they should come as standard. Pretty much all the goblins except Tali and Nook are shown as DLC. Which doesn't make sense to me given what Tali says to all but one of them. And one of the two she doesn't talk to independently makes moves on MC and MC can flirt back.
The Spirit being a DLC character is really surprising too, given how important to the story she is I'd have expected her to be one of the main girls.
