Depends on the dev really. Give the community something to cheer for and they'll be positive however fuck around and find out is also a thing Blaming the community when devs fail to respect their fans is a problem that can be seen if you simply ask the angry mob why they so angry

Hey all! Thanks for your patience. September is a rough month for all of us, and we don't tend to get as much done as in other months. Expect the same in May. However, lemme show you where we're at:

I'm still waiting on the 3D modeler I hired to deliver his work... cross your fingers for me, y'all. 'cause if this works out well, the next fight scene is gonna be amazing.

Oh yeah, and Saffryn's DLC is a third of the way done. Just thought you might wanna know that. As soon as we get the currently written scenes shot and bugtested, we'll do a small update to the main game so it can detect her DLC and we'll push her out so T4 supporters and above can test out her story and give us early feedback.

Since I'm downloading these in series as they release, can I just use the latest if I want to start over for more play time? Or do I need to use each version as I get to their respective ends?

Slight problem with this new update.
I saved the last one with the book open, and when I started this one, I had the option to pick some of them. I decided to go through the main stuff first to get it out of the way, but now all of the side stories are greyed out and I can't select any of them anymore.
Is there a way to open them up, or is this where I'm going to need to start over and play the whole game again just to see their side stories?
Kinda sucks that I had the option before and am being punished by going through the main story stuff first.

2. That's... interesting. This update has been public for over a month, and was available to supporters for 3 weeks before that, and this is the first time I'm hearing of things being locked off. I designed the game so that you can see as much as you want on one playthrough, so you're never "forced" to miss anything but the Secret girls, who have special unlock conditions. Usually, being greyed out means you've completed everything for those girls.

3. I'm not sure, as this is a brand new issue. If you can get at me in the Discord, I might be able to work with ya to figure out what's going on.

[PROGRESS REPORT] Getting Ready to Throw Down​

Hey all! Progress Report time!

Slowly but surely, we're getting there. Half of my struggle has been with the modeler that's doing Elowyn and Aurum's models from scratch. I mean, for fuck's sake, this doesn't even look like Aurum.

The team has, unfortunately, been in and out of extreme burnout, so things are going a lot slower than we'd like. The main hangup is this fight scene. I REALLY do not want to hand pose and shoot stills for this fight like I did with Willy. That took forever. But I'm also having significant difficulty finding a 3D modeler who can replicate Aurum and Elowyn from scratch. That, and I have 2 more Rebirth scenes to do, and I'm not sure what approach I should take. On one hand, I don't want to just swap the models and repeat the same little music video for each. On the other, I don't want people to feel like the two characters involved were robbed just because Nook had her ceremony first. And creating an entirely new video for each is way too much work and would push the next release back a month or more.

I have some ideas on how to solve this issue with a sort of middle ground. Still stewing on it, though.

I wish I could give a release date for the next patch, but having to fight with the modeler who cannot admit that he is clearly not skilled enough to deliver what I want is draining. If I put this model into a fighting game and recorded clips with it, it would be glaringly obvious that it wasn't Aurum. And I don't wanna break immersion like that.

So I'mma keep fighting with him. Please, dear god, somebody tell me you know a modeler who can recreate this model accurately.

I only recently discovered this game and I have to say I'm a very big fan, can't wait for the update! But seeing this I have to ask, what's the deal with the models? Are you no longer allowed to use the originals and now have to create your own?

So what I've been trying to do for over 2 years is have animated, video fight scenes with the characters.

First, I tried seeing if I could get animation packs made an put into StudioNEO, the program I use for the visuals. That didn't pan out.

Then, I tried having the characters ripped from the program and modded into a fighting game, Dead or Alive 6. I got one done, Aurum's Casual model, but the way the model was ripped made it a massive pain in the ass for the modder, and he refuses to work with those models again.

So now, I'm trying to have them modeled from scratch from references so the modder will mod them into Dead or Alive 6 so I can take video clips of fight animations.

HOWEVER. Not even an hour ago, I made a discovery while looking through StudioNEO's optional plugins. A certain plugin solved all of my issues. I have some work to do on things, but I now have a different way to get video fight scenes into World's Crossing Academy. Tested it and it works. So stay tuned. The next section of this episode is gonna be nuts.
