That depends on a lot of things. Creativity of the creator, image/animation quality, lenght of the update, number of renders, coding, new assets/backgrounds, etc.

But you are looking at one of the most incosistent updaters for recent years, so you are in the wrong thread for this kind of info.
Some games take 9-12 months on average for an update, but you got hours of content with those. Some update 1-2 times/month or every 2 months for shorter updates.
That's one of those 'how long is a bit of string' questions. There are too many variables to provide a meaningful answer. But I'd say it's a lot longer than you would think.
  • Is there a team working on the VN or it it a lone wolf?
  • How experienced is the dev/team?
  • If a team, how well do they work together? Do they share the same vision for the VN?
  • Is this their only project or do they have a 'day job' or demanding family issues that takes most of their time or are they trying to work on more than one VN/game at a time?
  • Do they have a load of assets ready to use or are they creating the thing from scratch.
  • What sort of machine are the renders being created on?
There are probably loads of other things that can affect the development but it's a time consuming process that needs a lot of patience (which is where I fall flat) and dedication...
All great points, then for the games that have sound effects and music it becomes an even larger chalange to find or purchase licensing for the music and sometimes you find yourself having to make your own soundeffects or even write and/or comission your own songs.

I was just wondering like over all, but as said before, many great points were brought up. Thanks for helping Me have a better understanding.

Though I know, if I EVER ( which I very seriously doubt), I will have the full story already written to help in the process. As for traditional books, you don't pay the author by the chapter. You pay for the whole book.

True, but traditional books don't also give you music, images, and animation... This is more like a TV series, (funded by stations that then sell advertising time) and those are typically written an episode at a time.

lol by that analogy this show would have been canceled over a year ago due to no content...stations wouldn't be getting money from advertisers since no new content...can only have reruns for so long...lol

Yo! I hope you're all doing well, I'm going to have to keep it short for this report.
This week I was able to make 75 new renders for Episode 14. I was also able to remake 149 renders for Episode 13. And another 41 renders of progress on the first month redo. Very solid week of renders (Though the remade renders aren't too difficult since 90% of the work is already done. It's mainly just waiting for things to load over and over.) I also made 3 new animations this week and tweaked 2 others.

This upcoming week will not be as render heavy as I have a handful of animations that need some work. Both new and old. But I'll get as much done as I can. The list of "To-dos" is shrinking quickly. I don't want to set any expectations for a release time, there is still a chunk of work and testing to do but I'm hopeful things will be uploaded for all of you to enjoy relatively soon. (And a reminder, the upcoming update will be north of 800+ renders and 20+ animations. And it will be available to everyone straight away, no tier timings.)

But yeah, that's all there is to share right now. I'm excited to get this stuff out soon. I'm going to get back to work on it now.
Once again thank you all for your patience and understanding. I truly appreciate it. Have a wonderful week and I'll talk to all of you soon!

It's clear this game is a mess but he can somewhat salvage it if he

1) Get rid of all these useless character he's been introducing. The original harem is big enough already and he can barely handle it, don't know why he feels the need to add like 15 random new chicks

2) Get rid of the mom, stepmom and sister. They served their purpose, having them hang out under the same roof where the MC is fucking like 20 girls a day is just weird. I'm sure BD is just trolling at this point because the camera is constantly focusing on Cedy's and Azel's ass when they're constantly hugging and kissing the MC which just riles up the incest crowd even more and I'm sure he knows this yet still acts annoyed when people bring it up.

Not necessarily, both of those things can be done at any time. Better than his plan to "rework" the entire beginning part of the game, a plan which he's already seemed to abandoned as well lmao.
Nah there is so much to fix that only a complete reboot would work imho . And his plan was either scrapped (once he realized it clearly needs a real reboot) , or some BS to string people along , again .
