As for the writing, I have to disagree with you. It's pretty much always been shit. The WVM MC is the biggest Gary Stu to be brought to fictional life. From the start, every single woman has been portrayed as being obsessively in love with him and everything he does. (Come to think of it, is there actually any female character that doesn't want to marry him or fuck him?) The story truly jumped the shark once all the tension that had been built from his cheating had been washed away like tears in the rain once it was revealed that Jamie has a massive cuckqueen fetish and all his infidelity was actually hunky dory. Actually, no, within the bounds of a porn game, that might've actually been fine, but the bigger problem was the fact that it was handled as this good thing that Jamie was going to share MC with other girls, because he is the most perfect man to exist after all and it would be selfish of her to hog him. I would go as far as to say that almost no girl has any actual personality or even existence outside of MC.
I hundred percent agree with you there. The writing was never very good. But that is par for the course on 95% of AVNs around here. I can only think of about a handful that have good writing. But for me at least, it was interesting meeting the initial cast of characters, Shauna, Bailey, Natalie, and Harper come to mind (though I never liked Jamie, she has always been annoying and unattractive to me and many others) and I wanted to hear more about their story and watch their relationships develop with the MC. And the plot of a starting basketball player, wanting to turn-around a failing basketball team for his small college seemed like it might be interesting. For the first, maybe 10 updates, that is mostly what happened. BD did throw a large cast of increasingly uninteresting, to me, characters, most of which I can't remember the names of, but he did keep enough of the story with the ones I was interested to keep me wanting to see what came next, just to see more of their story. But, BD just kept going, with every episode introducing dozens of new characters, that are more empty and boring than the last group, and he decided he original story wasn't interesting to him, so he threw in all these extra hidden-forces conspiracy themes that make no sense at all. Eventually, I just couldn't be bothered. Plus, it was clear BD never went anywhere with Bailey's character other than make her always DTF, and I guess decided to keep Natalie and Harper on the back-burner indefinitely.
I could never take My New Family seriously for this problem either.
I was thinking of MNF the whole time I wrote my post. But Killer7 is a honest, dev, who cares about his fans, so I didn't bring it up. His other game, My New Memories is much better.
Let her live a normal girl life... Next, you develop the characters (Harper and her daughter are good examples) and you leave them there, just to have as many pussies as possible in the game... Why do you think that a Harem game will be good if the MC fucks a hundred women? You can have a good Harem with few girls if you spend QUALITY time with them!
Yes, exactly. That is why I think BD is trolling his fans. How many duck-faces carbon copy women can he put in a game. He is probably going for 1000. Quality time was what I was expecting at the beginning, but that quickly disappeared.
I played this game once or twice only so I don't have any expectations from it, but it's just funny how this game is apparently living rent free on some people's head here hahaha, for those who are feeling this way go outside a little bit and enjoy new years eve ,it's way better for you than writing essays about how bad the dev is or how shit the game is lol
Well, I haven't even looked at this thread for at least 6 months, but I saw it come up with a new update, and thought I'd see what everyone was talking about, and if it has improved in any way. Certainly doesn't look like it based on the comments of those who played the recent updates.
