If some of what he's saying is true (and I think at least some of it is, at least in spirit), shit's even more funny than I thought because apparently he thought he was writing great dialog and storylines and drama before?

But he kept adding side chicks - be it to cover he wasn't able to create that overarching story like he wanted, or because he really wanted to have that many LIs.
So in the end, even if he had an idea of how to continue the story, the sheer size of the pool of LIs prevents him (and would anyone if no LI is to be dropped I guess) going anywhere with it now.
From that angle it makes sense he lost his drive - he can't continue the game he wanted to do, but he also doesn't want to lose his income.
And doing a whole new game now is a risk to the latter.

Flash forward to today, and all of that is gone. Mainly due to the game having about 35 characters too many. If he actually is trying to write a semi-serious story, having that many characters is a nightmare. Eventually they all blend together and we (and I'm sure BD as well) can't even tell them apart anymore. Probably why he began naming them after colors and other random things.
On the topic of reworks, he shouldn't rework the start. He should revert back to when the cast was only like 10-15 LI's and start from there again. Pretend everything past that was a fever dream that didn't actually happen.

Can't put my finger on exactly where (too long I played WVM), but before the bowling alley event or a couple of updates before that would be where I would revert to if I wanted to get this on track again.
I was on board with his first assessment though, that the whole start was way too cramped, and stretching out everything to that point might be a good thing - if only so that if continued with that slower pace, there was no break in the overall pace.
So I was in favor of the remake when it was announced and am not sure if there really is a good point to revert to based on that.
At least if we aren't talking to revert to the very beginning which would basically be that remake ...
And with your other comment included to this, with the too many LIs, he could even go inception with the "resets".
Too many LIs? It was just a dream... Then he goes on with his happy-go-lucky theme, starts to fck everything that moves again, he notices that it is really similar to the dream he had.... and then wakes up again, weirded out that he dreamt that, swears it wont happen, and starts again.
It could even be somewhat interesting, if written right.
He is a scammer, grifter, conman and everything else you can name trump. Absolutely shameless and unprofessional. I don't believe anything about his wife, kids, grandpa and all the other stories he made up one after another.

Yeah this is the part that gets me in stitches and calling it CAPS . My man wrote a game with 82 hrs days , people that keeps hugging every 5 minutes , praising MC like a deranged cult , a MC that kept moving houses for the first few days , a basketball team without even enough people to start a match or even train etc ... and wanna act like Stanley Kubrick over updates . All while refusing to fix some glaring visual issues like the black box and weird duck faces . In a binary world the dude saying "just leave" would be king however it doesn't take in account sunk cost fallacy; be it time, money, trust (...the list goes on) people have invested.
Some people just haven't reached the point (yet) where their evaluation of the situation outweighs their "investment" and vent their frustrations because of that.
can't speak matter of fact on the following so i'll say from a personal note; for me things such as dishonesty, bending of facts or otherwise not sticking to prior made statements/promises is one of the first things that tips my metaphorical scales to take my losses and gtfo.
Even having said all that; it's what made stop supporting development however if WVM ever does come to an honest 1.0 full release i'll be one of the first in line getting a copy.

ya know, I love shittalking BD and i´m usually not a fan of anything else, BUT in BD´s case i´m going to make an exception. I really hope he´s going to get cancelled at some point. If we can´t get a scam tag for this game and that´s the only way to make him stop milking, i´m down for at least that option

Kinda hilarious when devs write themselves in to a corner by having way too many god damn LI. Then they act shocked and all "how could this happen!?" when their story is full of plot holes and pacing issues. The whole tour bus bullshit with even more 'yes/no' to characters that were in no way needed and then the yacht.
It's just too much. Has been for a long time. Just not enough time to write stuff for all these characters let alone the core cast at this point.
