Hey all,
Been lurking here a while. Loooove WVM! That's four 0's if you're counting at home lol. This is the first post I've ever written on this forum, I felt compelled to do so. See, I too have been in BD's shoes, not as a developer but as a published writer. I too have felt the absolute swell of gratitude for everyone who loved my work. What can't be denied, however, is the amplification of the negative i felt for even one bad review. To me it's quite personal. I imagine to anyone who truly gives a shit it would be. I can tell you this, and I say this as a professional, this is one of the few porn games..let me repeat PORN GAMES..that actually transcends what is thought of as mere fap material. This has an excellent plot, keeps you engaged, and delivers very satisfying results. I was always taught that for every negative hurled at you, you need to hear like 10 positives..that's how much power one negative thing has in terms of stimuli! So, Ill join the chorus of others who thank you for giving us this gift that most others need a team to accomplish. You truly are one of a kind in a sea of these kinds of stories. If I can offer my own personal bit of advice in closing.. I always found it easier to read the negatives and think even they care so much about my story to 1. Take the time to write something 2. Want more content. At the end of the day though, your core support group are your actual fans, they're your family, they are why you do what you do. We believe in your vision, we fell in love with your characters, and if it takes a year waiting for something we consider truly special...well that makes the sugar all the more sweet.

Does anyone else disliked that WVM has no audio at all? The game in my opinion becomes a bit boring without any audio effect.

Honestly, more often than not when a game has music the audio loop (of the same free audio we've probably already heard in plenty of other games) can get grating after a while.

I can only speak for myself and for me whether WVM has audio makes absolutely no difference. Mostly because I play prety much every game from this site with my sound turned all the way down anyway. Tho from the last couple times this was asked on the thread the general consensus amongst my fellow threadies was the same for varying reasons.

Not particularly. But it is hard to find good audio that matches the scene, so if it can't be good, it is better to leave it out.

Muting all sound is usually the first thing I do, so no.

WVM have True Freedom by NOT use audio - you can start ANYTHIG that YOU like. There too much VN with bad intrusive and unsuited sound. always some strange questions from zero accounts

yeah, i'm not arguing about missing music, but any sound effect, usually i also turn down the music of the game a bit, i was referring to any other kind of sound effect, to make a long story short while i play i only hear the fan of my pc xD

There's nothing that sounds can really bring to the game. Maybe the sound of unzipping of clothing? Sounds for sex would not really work unless you went to the trouble of actually recording real sex. By then you might as well film it and release a porn video.

Yeah, I usually don't listen to games while I play them. The music in games has come a long way but it still is not nearly good enough to compete with listening to spotify. Sex sounds are too looped and unrealistic. If someone were to have the entire game voiced I'd consider listening but even then the VA I've heard in games hasn't been great.

Always have my own music going, every game gets muted. More often than not random sound effects that pop out of nowhere are annoying as hell, on top of that games with VO work tend to be cringy af. So everything gets muted.

The only game where I don't turn it off is BaDIK. It needs to be this good, or it's better to just leave it out. I don't know how much time DPC uses on finding and applying the trcks, but seeing as BD already has enough on his plate I'd say forget the music for now

And City of Broken Dreamers. If it's not going to be that good, it's far better not adding it at all (but please dear devs hid the sound options in the preferences menu, it's as easy as putting a # at the beginning of those lines)
