At the moment I'm comparing how many of my family have passed away in the last 4 years compared to his updates at the moment I'm winningWe probably all will it's coming out in the year 2525.

i liked the earlier renders a lot more. not because they were higher quality but because he didn't use the filter that makes all the renders glow red, all of them have the red/orange tint. if he stopped doing that it would look a lot better.

Honestly I could see why this shit would have taken him forever. It's just exposition after exposition with nothing in between and that can feel like a huge drag if you have nothing to break it up. You can tell he's talking to himself this whole update with all the "Hurry it up we gotta get this shit done." That being said, if he doesn't get back on a schedule after this it'll never happen. He has 10000 threads to follow that would be easy to just do one at a time and it would make sense from a storytelling point.

Like literally every character has something to do now. They're all involved in some way and the MC has things to tell them and to do with them. If he get stuck again he's quite literally a fucking moron.

First: What part did BD not deliver in this update?
Second: Did he say anything else on Discord about when the 13th would finally be finished or did he just say the same thing as on Patreon "I'll upload it soon"?

First: E13 is supposed to be the finish of the date, and return home (I'm not 100% on the return home bit, but I am pretty sure on it)
second: I haven't seen anything about B7 being released, just the typical Soon type statements...... which historically has meant several weeks, up to months.
And it is fairly small (especially considering the time sink he put into it), I am pretty sure under 400. Very dialog heavy, lots of "story".... or more accurately, back "story".
Some solid points here, He seemed to have a rough idea of what he was trying to do, but just kept digging deeper than he really should have. Game like this, the story doesn't need to be deep, it just needs to be entertaining... and he kinda lost it in that scene.
With any luck, he can start to ease up a bit on the attempted deep monologs, and just piece together a decent story.

and there we go the beta 7 is coming like many of us have said,and holy fuck a update came out and the asslickers in discord are plain on time for that half update.
First : he only completed the "missing" what was orginally the 100 renders missing scene with deliah and is now a 267 Renders scene and startet the Jasmine date content with 91 Renders.
Second: no he only postet the link to the new game update in the "links-to-latest-update" channel in discord and still has not even said a word since the "enough words" statement a few days ago.
this update is even smaller that the beta 5
probably ran out of renders to update more

It seems he finally "found" the missing images he seemed to misplace during the holidays. Maybe his dog ate them. I won't expect another update for at least another year or longer with the way things are going with all the excuses BD seems to come up with. Some games that I play have devs that put out an average of 500 to 650 renders per update per month. None of this million excuses BD seems to be famous for. I don't except part 1 to ever be redone to fill in all the plot holes that we start with in part 2.
Step 1: Un-pause pledges, apologize for doing it, but beg to your loyal subjects that you need their money to SURVIVE
Step 2: Buy some games on Steam
Step 3: Host a Superbowl party
Step 4: Release the update that was promised two years ago, broken, and not finished
Step 5: Tell Morbil to ban/timeout anyone who complains, you got their money anyway, who cares if they can't use the Discord
Step 6: Wait for people to forget Steps 1-5
Step 7: Create an alter-ego that is going to help you be on time with updates and hold you accountable, this year we'll name him Mitochondria
Step 8: Wait a year and repeat steps 1-7, but make sure you use a different name for the alter-ego (write in your journal that Mackenize, Dionyx, and Mitochondria are taken)

This "update" was a joke. At least I'm not disappointed, as I didn't expect anything more. The bs BD is pulling out of his ass is way more entertaining than the crap he's been putting out here for a while now.

Only reason I'm disappointed is cause I've been waiting for the Jasmine date for years and we're still not getting the full fucking date.

Ok so I just want to preface by saying obviously there is still no excuse for how insanely long it took to get this partial update released and that's not even factoring in all the other BS that came along with it.
That being said, I can absolutely see where he was having issues with this. It's a hole he dug for himself, but I will admit that was one hell of an exposition dump. So heres the tough part to reconcile it with the story as a whole... I'll just say that personally I liked it. The (somewhat) relief at finally knowing the truth about his parents, the sweet way that characters like Delilah, Wendy, etc were always looking out for him even when they knew the best thing was to stay away. On the other hand I don't think I fully get what is supposed to be happening with the other half of that group. Why do they want him involved with this club thing so much? Why does it seem like his entire life this kid has had 4-5 different powerful parties all fighting for who gets to run his life?
Honestly the more I thought about it as I was reading through it all, BD's issues make a bit more sense. I don't think writing is particularly his strong suit, and thats more than fine for this type of game let's be honest... but if you're gonna put yourself into situations where you spend an entire update nearly just explaining the main characters entire childhood and the way multiple other existing characters weave into that? I could easily see someone getting into that and realizing they're in way over their head but not having the smarts to either back out or trim it way down. Anyways, like I said I enjoyed the history lesson for the most part and I think it makes the MC's whole strange family dynamics a little more endearing now even. I should've known that would leave little to no time for the Jasmine stuff in this update but I'm hoping that now that things can finally get back to shorter scenes with all the girls we can maybe get new content faster. Not gonna hold by breath there though.
