I straight up laughed when I realized we still weren't getting the basketball game that no one cares about but that BD has been working on for a year+. What a weird thing for the game to get brickwalled on.
Also of note was the line where someone teases the MC for basically having a cult at this point. It shows that BD is aware of that criticism but is pretty much doubling down on it, which is unfortunate. I suppose at this point, BD's actual narrative goal is basically for the MC to be some perfect guy with apparently literal superpowers for fixing someone's personal issues with a single conversation and blowing women's minds with pleasure with a single touch. Quite the change from "you're the #1 basketball recruit this year in college basketball so the whole sports world is following you, and your high school girlfriends are okay with an open relationship so you can enjoy the attention" as the initial pitch that everyone enjoyed so much early on. Such a good and underused pitch that is also relatively realistic to the lives those sports superstars actually lead, with the only suspension of disbelief necessary being Jamie and Shauna being down for it all (easily done in the context of a porn game, where that's not even that unrealistic compared to other games' setups).
Shame that the version of this game where it just focuses on a core group of girls doesn't seem like even a possibility nowadays, what with entire long sections of the game focused on adding girl after girl to the harem. Aubrey was hot but I straight up didn't know who she was in this update the entire time. From my perspective, it was just some random woman who (literally) walked into the room and ended up included in the harem by the end lmao
Obviously this update was a bit of a disappointment especially with the long, long wait in mind, but I honestly can't complain too much due to the good amount of Zoe content this update. On top of me finding her to be the hottest character in the game, her content always seems to be of a higher level of writing compared to others. She has more of a personality to her than so many others in the game, I love that she actually gets a slow development to her romance as compared to the others being a single conversation and then an immediate entrance into the harem. I very much enjoyed the chance to give her special treatment by choosing her for the two competition choices. I suppose it's a rare chance for the player to actually favor one of their favorite characters in a game that otherwise nowadays revolves around managing a gigantic cult harem.
