Nah it's not. It's not an issue of motivation or love for the project or labor. At this point he'd behave the same way on a new project. The issue for him would be to work long enough to lure in new victims. It's actually great that his sleaziness is contained on that one mediocre project for as long as possible. May it have 10 seasons, if people don't learn and drop it.

Also if there is any truth to the theories that he was not the original dev, even more reasons for him to not finish and start anything else

I can't say how many splits but he can definitely milk this renders if they exist for 1-2 years by splitting them.
