This was probably true a few years back and I'll even bet it's the lie he tells himself to justify his behavior. IMO he has shifted the goalposts, gone back on his word or just completely disregarded things he's said too many times to be operating in good(ish) faith like that. At this point he's like a bear that's become habituated to eating out of a dumpster, he learned through experience that he can still get rewarded without doing the actual work. As long as he keeps being incentivized he won't change his behavior.
Expect a "Look, I wanted to release it this month, I really did but my I re-injured my collarbone and Makenzie had to fly me out of country to get medical treatment, and Dynox had to fuck my wife as I was out of town. So beacuse of all that, I have nothing to update you with. BUT, I can't cancel any payments as I REALLY need the money to gamble....I mean, the money to work on the game.....yeah... thanks for the easy money cucks!"

Seriously, (as one should get on here), don't expect fuck all from this guy. That way, you'll never be disappointed.

Is there a downside to having sex with Elizabeth in the basement as part of the initiation? I want a harem route, but I can't recall if there's consequences. I'm far enough in the game to where she's mad at my MC, but he's all like "it's less that I had sex with others but that she wasn't aware" blah blah.

Well I was wondering about that since some years ago I played a online game till the devs milked the players that forced most to quit so they hired a PR. The real funny thing is they would go through them every few months once they realised it wasn't the players but the dev's so they would quit but not by telling us they would go on vacation never to be seen again then another would take their place. I can see a pattern here and got me thinking did BD play that game as wellI wonder if he'll ever revive McKenzie (or however he spelled it) too, that shit was hilarious

The only "consequence" you have in this game is if you are faithful at the start you miss out on a few scenes. Besides that? The same as his promises, doesnt mean anything.
