My dog sense tells me:
He quit the project and is now trying to squeeze the very last bit of toothpaste out of the tube, figuratively speaking.
He didn’t exactly quit. All he did was completely cut down the work. Now he’s doing maybe 0.0000001% of what he used to. It’s just too easy of an income for him to drop it like that. And the superfans – or cultists, call them whatever you want – still feeding him $$$

BD cant even put a dev report out when he said he would. He's missed two separate times in the last 24 hours already.
no idea about the drama about him or whatever, only thing ik is that i used to play wvm like a year ago and would like to replay the game and play the new updates that i missed

The drama, among many other things, is that content-wise, things did not move that much from the past year you played. It moves at a slow and dubious pace for dubious reasons.

Dev Report #51 (September 23rd, 2025)

Hey, everyone.

I hope you all had a good week. Mine was relatively decent, I didn't get quite as much done as I wanted to but it was still a productive and positive week.

I finished up render work for the majority of scenes, finalized many script decisions, and finished editing the majority of the renders in photoshop.
Finishing up render work included adding around 80 renders and 4 animations.

This upcoming week will be focused on finishing the render work for the final 3 scenes as well as working towards finishing everything else. Which mostly includes finishing up editing both renders and animations, playtesting, and proofreading.
I'm still not giving any release dates or estimates, but if things continue to go well it shouldn't be too much longer.

I will say that I don't think that it's very likely that Day 37 is released by the end of September.
Last month I stressed myself out by worrying too much about the end of the month and having something out. I've had 'day of' billing for years now so while it does matter, I've given it way more importance in my own mind than it needed to have.

So, I'm doing my best not to think in that framework right now. My mindset recently has been that everyday is a new day, get as much as you can done. I don't let things snowball either way. If I have a bad day I don't try and 'make up' for it the following day. If I have a good day I don't try and beat it the next day. It's been working to keep me centered and on track as of late.

It's not much, and you could probably set a calendar reminder for mid may next year.... Might get 300 render snippet by then.

"didn't quite get as much done as he wanted" ?LOL! What his lazy ass didn't pick up the popcorn he dropped on the other side of couch 6months ago? Cant imagine much else especially game related,since there's never anything to show for all the alleged work he puts in. (Just throws out some random numbers to make it look like he did something, and a year later when it's released realize that the final number is nowhere near what was originally promised). Poor baby so stressed out. I understand now, He has it so hard.

Notice how he's stopped talking about his total renders to deliver. Wasn't it like 1600+ or something? Now he's only talking about Day 37? What about the 751 renders completed for Episode 14 reported by him on April 24, 2024?

I think at most, we'll get anywhere from 500-700 renders IF he ever releases anything.

What a piece of shit.
