The online version will load 90% and then get stuck, then it is just a blank purple page. Been like that for a while, on multiple browsers.

That's you...I checked with Edge, Chrome, and Vivaldi (4 yrs old laptop, Win10, no VPN). All loaded using the link on page 1, and was playing last night on the online SubscribeStar link.
Not sure where to post this for help - the offline version of the game does not seem to be keeping any of my saved games. I have to start all over again every time I close out and restart. Is this intentional or is there some wrong? I had hours of game play and then my system needed to perform updates and rebooted closing out the window. Everything was saved but nothing is in saved games when I reopen it.

Were you using incognito/private mode? Saves, cookies, everything gets deleted when you close the browser/window.

i prefer playing a 'reluctant' playthrough and the minigames which require you to keep rhythm in the green bar increases your pleasure. instead of that, i wish dev would change it so that the minigames focus on the player character not wanting to cum when their femininity is too low.

My best advise to anyone playing XCL is always back-up your important saves with a export. Its only a few extra clicks for the peace of mind with having your great (or crazy) day being etched in stone.
Is the scene where bruce confronts dredd during stripping job repeatable or does it happen only once?
Yea that is good advice but it doesn't explain why the saves disappeared. Any idea in the program where the saves might be located? I can try to replug them if I know what I am looking for???
The game saves are in the local storage area of your browser. This is unique to a browser. Also, for browsers that have multiple profiles, there is a separate area for each profile.
You can look for 'local storage manager' to find a useful tool to seea summary of the storage area.
Full disclosure I barely know how or what I was doing but I just did exactly what the readme said, but I didn't have the right storyformat in tweego. I just copied the one that was in the source code into the actual tweego storyformat folder and did npm run build with the path set to the source code folder. Maybe that's what's tripping you up?
To be fair, while there is a modded version of the game for scenes where you're taking advantage of, and therefore trying no to orgasm, if your goal is to get through the minigame orgasming as little as possible you can just treat the green bar as something to try to avoid to get mostly the same effect.

Strange. I had no issue with saves for the almost two months I played the game. I eventually took the bad habit of always saving in the same slot, and this shot me in the foot yesterday, with both my slot and the autosave empty of data (.xcs files less than 200 bytes instead of >700 kiB).
I took that as a lesson and opportunity to start a new game... But this also ended with an empty save after a few hours.
