Having a 0.1 release be largely focused around one character with progress that vastly surpasses others is a recipe for troubled development down the road...
I don't think any character has that much progress difference though? Currently both Ayumi and Katsumi are tied first at 11 events, while third is Akane with 10. The one with the least progress is 4 for Emi. And I don't really understand how it could spell troubles for future development if each update focus on the progress of 1-2 characters. Isn't that better than spreading thin in each update?
new events that are basically 'you gotta progress more to get the real event' works a couple of times but when it's the baseline for progression it just makes the game needlessly grindy and kills interest.
I can understand this point, but this is at its core, a visual novel. Events happen slowly to build up tension. I don't want to rush the story without any character building first.
As a suggestion move the evil/good choice to the next event where the flag actually comes up, for narrative it's weird for the MC to go 'i'm gonna be nice/mean to you' in his own inner world at the end of events and from a player perspective you get to see the difference between them and pick whichever you think fits that character best.
This one I don't really get. So you mean to only have the good/evil choice where the story actually splits? Because at least for Riko, the only one with different routes right now, each choice will be saved as flags, and these flags will be considered upon reaching point of divergence in the story.
Also what's the point of the minigame if Akame's icon never moves?
it actually moves when you challenge her. And setting the sprite speed to 0 is actually a lot easier and faster than removing it entirely so I just put it there lol
Thanks for the feedback. I will consider your point for future development
