Of course there are still significant quantities that would have to be fixed, but for a demo it's quite ok

Well, I will try to do my best to answer all your doubts about this project.
Yalard Magical Desire is a VN. In this demo, you can only make simple decisions that do not affect the development of the character or the plot, since it is a prologue. My intention with the real game is to have a more complex and complete system, where each decision guides the path of the protagonist and the characters that surround him.

Is there an option to skip combat and minigames?
This is a nice question. I need to consider this for future plans and add an option to skip the minigames or the combats

Can we choose who to pursue or is it just grind to unlock scenes?
I divide the game into 5 seasons, in this first one the game practically guides you to know the world of YALARD, like the races, characters, and the story. For future updates you can decide if you want to pursue whatever you want... so nope, it's not just grinding to unlock scenes, is more like that.

I do like the favt that you can apparently choose which way the MC goes at least. (well based on the plans for this game).

How is Futa in the game? can you disable it and if its disabled do all futa characters have a female varient? or do you just miss out on those characters?

Figured i'd ask the questions before i download cause the game looks a bit complex.
Yes this first game itself is simple (The DEMO in this case) but the story of YALARD is COMPLEX enough to drive me to madness (LOL). I've been developing a universe from scratch. But I like it that way, I made this decision because I want to show a little of this UNIVERSE and put different topics and make them interesting This is to personal taste, but I'm kind of tired of the lack of narrative in the world of porn, and yes, many colleagues have told me that this decision could be my downfall, but I like challenges. I can understand that the vast majority are only looking for a simple story and many sexual scenes, but I want to offer much more than that. Yalard is a complete universe, with many stories to tell.

I hope that very soon I can offer all of you the WIKI with all the information such as:
Characters, Races (APTIENS, LUMENS, ASEPKOS, RAZBREMS) The REALMS, and all the complete lore

Just stay tuned for future updates :D
thanky you for your answer. i guess i'm interested enough to give it a shot. especially if the skip button will be added later.

the only thing i worry about is the Futa tag. i can understand if a race is futa based but i'll admit it will suck to miss out on those character who look or are interesting and i would have to stay away from them just cause they have a dick.

but once again i'll be giving the game a shot at least.

1. Scene spamming is too fast, I want to go to the next scene by myself, it's annoying.
2. Choices that don't do anything and don't produce more than 1 line are annoying, stop with the:
"What do you want?":
pass
"...":
pass"
3. Using MANY words IN all CAPS is ANNOYING.
4. Loud audio moans are annoying.
5. The same choices reapper after selecting them.
6. If I choose Miya's character first, Katsuya's lines are skipped.
7. The lore dump during dialogue with Shika is done in an uninteresting way and it's causing information overload.
8. Left click can't skip 0,5s loop animations.
9. Tags are for scenes currently in the game, stop baiting.

I think you can relax a little.
Everyone who isn't an idiot can see the big [DEMO] marking in the title.

For now i am just interested in seeing how you will make combat work in Renpy, because Renpy isn't the engine of choice for something that has combat, usually. Nevertheless i've seen some good examples of combat done in Renpy so it should be possible to make something that won't suck. I think you're on the right track with that simple, sharp ui.

From what little information i can gleam by looking at the previews:
*Animation looks like it will need work, possibly a lot of work. Rain_scene.gif looks rather funny.
*Small skill bar with locked slots. Which possibly implies that your game has only so many skills, which are also locked under some conditions, and you also probably can't select what to put on that skill bar. I like having a lot of cool skills to choose from, and i like having control over what skills i have on my skill bar. Generally speaking, giving the player as much freedom as you can handle giving, is a good idea. Everyone likes customizing. And a little tip: If you want combat in your game, make sure it's good or don't add it at all, half-assed combat will only annoy people. Also making the skill bar and the buttons a little smaller may be a good idea, especially if you gonna be expanding combat ui later.
*Models look promising, but may need more work as well. I can see clipping and floating hands already.
*That wolf model does not impress, may want to rework it and make it look more wolf-like (and less sickly dog-like) and more threatening.

I think that the first mistake I made was that I got hyped myself by the excitement of developing the game and wanted to add so many features without proper knowledge about it. I also rush the final scenes of the demo because I want to publish the demo quickly. But from now on and thanks to the community I will make things right! :D
Yes. Rushing is a no-no if you aim to create something that will linger in peoples minds long after they finish playing/reading.
That said, nobody will be waiting decades for you to finish one update, either.
So i imagine you would start by formulating a good developing plan, then steadily working through it.
I think i will also give you some tools that aim to refine writing, catch in DM. :giggle::coffee:

Monthly Report #1

Hello everybody!
Just passing by to post this small update. I'm still working on the game fixing:

The Dialogue -
  1. Small changes in the script (fewer caps, better grammar, and more interesting dialogues).​
  2. Big changes in the dialogue between Shika/Mc and Khalien/Mc​
The Characters -
  1. For those who play the demo. I did a complete rework on the Shika character design and the Khalien character design​
  2. Small changes on Miya, Katsuya, the MC, Nazly, and Mizly.​
The Lore -
Working in the WIKI [progress - 60%]

The Scenes/Locations -
I change all the scene transitions and I put myself work hard on the design of the locations (palace, lab, observatory, grand hall, etc)

The Renders -
For this section, I decide to work with better lighting/shadow techniques and mods (check the image above).

NOTE:
For those players that want fantastic renders - if you are expecting to play some DAZ3D quality game with awesome renders... sadly but this game is not for you baby. Sorry!

Renpy/Python -
I am dedicating 3 hours a day to continue learning/practicing renpy/python, for that reason I have made the following decision, for the ver.0.1 of the game, I am not going to include the battle system, until future updates of the game, maybe ver.2.0 or 3.0. I'm really sorry! :cry:

Although there are no futas in the demo (sorry for that), I have not removed the tag because in the version that is under development there will be futa characters, but only for those who enable the futa option.

I started playing your demo and I had to shut it down for a lot of reasons. The main thing that kept annoying me was the MC. He had this huge raging hard-on and these little tiny balls, which we were forced to keep seeing. I understand that you are learning but it just didn't look right and no man could wake up to an erection like that and not react to it. It had to be really uncomfortable and he acted like that was the most normal thing in the universe. I simply would not be able to play if that was going to be my Avatar. I see you have reworked some of the other characters so I will wait until the next version comes out to see what you have done. You seem to have some great ideas and I am not trying to criticize but give constructive criticism because I would like you to succeed. See you after the update.

Yes, when I replay the demo several times I figure that out (the erection thing) and I fix that. In fact, not only I update the characters, but also those small details. Soon I will make a big announcement about the development of the game.

I'm still working on the Yalard game and comics (2-3 hours a day) But if I quit all social networks because I had to accept a 6-month contract away from home, I just came back yesterday, I'm going to organize everything to upload all the content that I have prepared

New release v0.1
Incredible how time flies and I didn't even realize it.
Six months ago I started this project. I released the demo, received various opinions and they all helped me improve.

During those six months, I couldn't update the game, because I had to travel countless times. But here I am again with an update and a lot of content for the next few days.

I want to thank all those who played the demo and empathetically left constructive criticism and those who supported me on Patreon, it helped me a lot.

From now on the development of the game will follow a workflow more focused on a visual novel style of gameplay. When v0.9 comes out, it will be the last "alpha" version and from then the work will go on in the production of the ten episodes that make up the season.
