I still find it crazy that the cursor lock resets to off after you teleport. v3.2 btw

So the game starts me off as a male (i think, im not even sure, but it aint a female) and from the tags it says i can be a female protagonist which im trying to do. i finish the tutorial and what not and see a customize appearance option and i seem to be able to customize everything but i dont see an option to make my character female, in other words i seem to be stuck with the male body. how do i change this?

There should be an option at the top when you start a new game.
