I don't have any experience with that, I just know it's not an easy feat and huge games like this isn't a good point to start. I would suggest saving hours upon hours you're about to waste on it and propose an idea. If you really like this game that much, go support him on patreon, that way you will have better chance making the idea come true.

Hello! im interested in creating a few bonus companions, the one thing im not sure of is how to create their appearance. is there a special way to do it in game? or do i need to figure out all the values and manually plug them in via Notepad?

So far I'm loving the Demo!

In the Mods folder, there is guide and example on creating them.

All of them! If I remember correctly, you should do first Prison, pyromancer, war camp and pleasure den quests. After you finish them all, you'll get the gathering quest starts.

But seriously, just wander around central ruins, spot the land marks and check them out.

Yes i have Read that, and i have made use of the suggestion! the notepad++ and the JSON plugin are very useful!

but is there a way to see what values i plugin will look like? or do i have to take a shot in the dark and keep opening and closing the game until i get what i want?

Maybe... make a character first that has all the specs i like, and then just plug all of that into the companion? im just wondering if there is an in-game way to change these values, or if i must play with it in the data thing. Forgive me if i am being a nuisance, im new to this particular type of editing.

a shot in the dark...for now
you can make your player wear whatever you want for the companion, save and then copy it and paste most of it in the companion file

Yeah, that's pretty much what I did. I created a new character, then when I reached the mirror I quit the game and edited the save file to give that character access to all the clothes (you can also give them a ton of money and go buy all the clothes in-game). Then I customized their appearance in-game to my liking, quit again, and from there it was just a matter of copying all the appearance values from that save file to the companion file.

is another useful NP++ plugin which you can use to compare your character save with the example file (both needs to be formatted first).

i am enjoying the game and my new custom companions! will try out the mod soon, but first!

i have captures enabled and all that good stuff, but it just keeps taking me back to camp when i surrender. how do i get taken to other places? forgive me if this should be obvious, but i just cant seem to manage it.

You cannot be captured in the first area (central ruins outskirts). Proceed a bit more and you will be!

thank you so much! and i love your game! i love all your games!

Do you have any plans to add more than one heavy bondage station to a combat? Helpless scenarios where The player and their allies are all got at the same time are nice~ but otherwise! love it all!

So I gotten to the manor but the second floor is unable to be entered, I activated the lever and the prompt is there but I cant enter it.
