True!
it's exactly what I was thinking just now, he made missing her impossible now. Although Julia is still canceling Olivia's route if she finds out about her at the art gallery, and also the Liv choice making you miss a big bonding portion of Kim's route during the trip also makes me believe he can still pull the "colliding routes" card, as he mentioned before.

honestly I would be pissed too if I completely missed meeting an LI because of a seemingly irrelevant choice. It's just bad choice design. Meeting them shouldn't be locked behind bullshit like that. Afterwards it's up to the player if they want to pursue them or not as it should be.

Never bothered me as I play all routes anyway. Plus, as I said originally back then, much more natural imo. How many women must exist in your town? Met them all while out? Of course you haven't...any single seemingly unimportant decision you take every single day of your life could lead to something unexpected.

Oh well, at least the damn harem crowd have finally pissed off and stopped whining :ROFLMAO:

Do you play ALL the routes here? Even bowl cut? Though I suppose her route hasn't exactly started and we just have the groundwork.

I'll admit...this one 'is' tough but have it nontheless.

However, going back to that original choice back at the start...it was 2 choices. Why would anyone not explore both of them?

but it's not real life is it? I don't analyze every single choice there is in an AVN while having the script open on my other monitor just to see if I accidentally missed something important. That being said in this particular case I'm just making an argument for others. I did check out the choice and then abandoned the other option on most of my pts. But I understand where the complaints come from and I agree with them, most players won't do in-depth replays and shit, they play what's obviously in front of them, and when they realize they missed a cutie coz of an arbitrary choice of course they're gonna complain. Just because something may feel more natural to you specifically, doesn't make it a better design choice overall/for others. And it looks like the Chaq arrived at the same conclusion.

honestly I would be pissed too if I completely missed meeting an LI because of a seemingly irrelevant choice. It's just bad choice design. Meeting them shouldn't be locked behind bullshit like that. Afterwards it's up to the player if they want to pursue them or not as it should be.
The player should always be given enough hints to make educated guesses at every choice. Randomly meeting someone on a choice that has no logical reason why it is THE deciding moment that starts a route might seem like the 'realistic' option, but its a shitty game design and a massive waste of everyone's time.

Picking between blue, or red in CH1 and then 4 chapters later one of the choices ending in game over, with the only logical connection being 'sometimes people get killed/choice have consequences, butterfly effect bs' is bad game design, ask anyone that studies it. Or ask anyone that plays videogames how fun it is to spend 40h in a playthrough and then find out you missed something minor at the start that completely cancels entire storylines for you, with characters that you actually liked when you saw them, but for no reason whatsoever, this one minor thing is the only way to progress with them.

100% it was the case of the yellow lemonade problem with Kimberly. There was no rhyme or reason why she gave you her number only when you met her with Zeke, outside of the dev artificially creating routes. Its a lesser offence with Riley, but again it feels like a forced route, probably to also keep unpopular character Zeke around the storyline.

tl, dr The player should always be given enough context to make educated guesses on decisions. I say this as a completionist, games should never cater to players like me that just restart and make different choices, I bet 90%, or more of AVN players only play one save and then come back next update and continue the same save again. Have you forgotten how many ask for save files? Or unlocked gallery?

Sounds very much like a player problem if they never explore all routes. Do people whine about how much content they miss in a RPG because they play one route, miss 75% of the content and never play it again? This is not the exception btw but generally (even in AAA games) the rule. I've said it before and will take everyone's wrath up the ass again, AVN players are the whiniest bunch of asses in the gaming sphere.

Gimme a break.

all I can say is as a monogamy player I only play Kimberly's route and I don't give a damn about missing out on content

I've never even cared about having a shorter update

I will gladly play shorter update if it means I get monogamy as an option

All I can say as a manwhore player is that I don't give a flying fuck about Kimberly's route once my Pete has ground her meat! So I'll enjoy a longer update, all in one playthrough! Hugs and kisses to you, my monogamous bro! :giggle:
