Just now
Earlier this week, as I finally finished writing Kim’s route scenes, I realized June is almost over. Time’s flying, and when you’re balancing a full-time job and the game’s development, it really slips by faster than you’d expect.
Over the past few months, I’ve received quite a few messages asking about the next update release. Most have been very respectful and understanding (thank you for that!), but some... not so much.
Last year, I was aiming to have Chapter 4 ready by this month. What I didn’t plan for was having to return to working a full-time job, which changed everything this year. Because of that, I’ll have to push Chapter 4 release further into Q3. Not having much time each day to work on it is pretty frustrating, but that’s the reality right now.
With the current level of support, I simply can’t quit my job and go full-time on the game, which means that updates will end up taking longer to develop than I would like. I know that’s not ideal, but I’m doing what I can with the time I have.
You can try the game through “alternative sources” to see if it’s your cup of tea, but keep in mind that downloads from pirate sites contribute zero toward the game’s development. So, if you enjoy the game and want to help its development, consider becoming a supporter. Every month, I try to give something nice in return (check out the tiers perks for more info).
In fact, this isn't just about me. If you enjoy a game, whether it’s mine or from another developer, the support you give, even something as simple as spreading the word, goes a long way in helping us keep doing what we—and you—love.
Like I mentioned a few times before, I’m not abandoning this project. The game will be completed, even if it takes me until 2030 (as someone said in one of those messages). I’m committed to seeing it through, but I am not burning myself out or starving to make it happen. As I said, I can’t quit my job to dedicate solely to the game’s development, yet.

Thank you so much to everyone who's stuck with me until now. I really appreciate it.
Have a great rest of the week, everyone!
I'm generally not a fan of MC's being in a relationship when I start a VN, with few exceptions.Poor Kim... Isn't that like 1 vote overall? I think it's hard to come back from her initial introduction.
I am not a big fan of characters that leave a relationship, but the blame is put on a third person.
she on the same level as Kaija for meI'm generally not a fan of MC's being in a relationship when I start a VN, with few exceptions.
I like to choose who I want the MC to be with, that's the most fun part of playing them for me. So when Kim left I was happy rather than sad, which I guess was the feeling that we were supposed to feel. Then when she suddenly returned I was disappinted I can't lie.
So she's ok, then? SORRYshe on the same level as Kaija for me![]()
exactly brotherPoor Kim... Isn't that like 1 vote overall? I think it's hard to come back from her initial introduction.

I agree, I tend to dislike when the MC enters a story with a pre-existing girlfriend because there's no telling if I will like her as a player and if I don't, the MC will look neurotic as he immediately 180s on her. The only exception I can think of is Hannah in Between Two Worlds and I think even that was more of me taking a liking to Hannah than liking the situation.I'm generally not a fan of MC's being in a relationship when I start a VN, with few exceptions.

I also hate when the game gives you a forced girlfriend you didn't ask for but in the case of yesterday's Crossroads I thinkI'm generally not a fan of MC's being in a relationship when I start a VN, with few exceptions.

As forbowl cutKim, streets.
I agree except about the part about it being a non-issue, since she came back, it very much became an issue. If she was gone permanently, and was just a footnote in the MC's past he's trying to recover from, then I'd agree she would be a non-issue.I also hate when the game gives you a forced girlfriend you didn't ask for but in the case of yesterday's Crossroads I think
it doesn't count or it's perfectly fine because you break up with her at the end of the prologue
sooo my opinion it doesn't matter if the game gets you a girlfriend if the relationship ends before the game begins
or if it ends extremely early in the story before you start any other relationship so you're not a cheater
so in my opinion it's a non-issue
The thing with preexisting GFs / ExGFs in games is, I will either feel bad at cheating at them which means I will ignore the other girls, or I will hate them for breaking the relationship and thus will probably avoid giving them a second chance other than maybe friends route depending on how we broke up.I also hate when the game gives you a forced girlfriend you didn't ask for but in the case of yesterday's Crossroads I think

well to be fair brother when I fall in love with a girl I don't care about the other characters anywayThe thing with preexisting GFs / ExGFs in games is, I will either feel bad at cheating at them which means I will ignore the other girls, or I will hate them for breaking the relationship and thus will probably avoid giving them a second chance other than maybe friends route depending on how we broke up.
Very few games can make it work and put them on the same level as other LIs.
If Kim had stayed away sure, but in the last episode we were pretty much forced due to the main story to spend time with her on the business trip. This was reduced a bit with the remake compared to the original version but you cannot simply ignore her.For me, it's a non-issue because she's just another ex-girlfriend of the MC
In fact, I believe 90% of the characters in this game are ex-girlfriends or had a relationship of some kind with the MC
And just like all the other relationships in the game, it's completely up to the player if they want to continue anything with her or not
Yes, she is a character in the game, no matter what, but you can just choose to go to work, come home, and ignore her completely
In my opinion, this game gives you the best monogamous relationships of all visual novels
I've seen games with terrible monogamy roots, and everybody seems to give those games a pass
I just want to fuck the sister to spite Kim, don't care about the restIf Kim had stayed away sure, but in the last episode we were pretty much forced due to the main story to spend time with her on the business trip. From the look of the previews it seems like we are also going to be roped into helping Kim and her sister escape their apparently psycho father. Despite not really having a reason to care about that anymore or a reason to put yourself into danger if he is indeed as dangerous as Kim says.
