It's funny that people hate IRC so much. Even if you do need channel bots, it's pretty convenient for tech support and general feedback, especially by muting any user turning a server into a memefest and not requiring any kind of multiple factor authentication to automatically deny any and all access to a device fingerprint.

It's at least convenient to be used the way it is supposed to. You know, like a phone is supposed to be used for calls, not for playing Clash of Clans, using TikTok or taking selfies.

Privacy is highly overrated. Seiso gone with its admin. What's left of the team is a developer with some of the data and the source, and at this point it'd be better for the developer and their friends to just open a service in the dark and never mention yiff.party, paywall.party or kemono.party ever again.

Kemono team changes, now has service host as coordinator, moderation team is a couple of monkeys and developers also are fighting about pull requests, making it rather hard for anyone to get somewhere.

There's no need to be snide. Scrapers didn't invent anything miraculous and there are other sites, people would have to be insane to post about how to access them on something like F95 that isn't even protected by basic anti-crawling layers.

Just pointing out that the whole party sites were just hobby projects that were far too ambitious for their own good and no one should have spent a dime on it. F95 is an example of how you can redistribute content in a more or less organized manner while still being crawlable. It's far from perfect but it works for games at least and everyone wins.
