Make sure you are not using locale emulator as this is designed for English locale, also try deleting the savedata folder.

Sorry but to clarify you extracted the zip, then ran that exe and it gave the same error?

Try renaming it to yns.exe and running with locale emulator in japanese.

I had it on then fully removed it and reset still get it
