It should be in English. If installing the again doesn't fix it maybe try putting the game on the desktop, it's where I had the game from the opening post when I tested it out yesterday.

Could just be the shorten file address. As long as it's not in too many folders, and on the C: drive it may work elsewhere.
Clothes type things should just be added to that section of the shop, other items should be time related I think.
