I installed the patch. Still didn't work and came across this error again.


Then just like yesterday, I tried to install the missing XAPOFX1_5.dll file and pasted it inside the game folder and came across this problem.


I'm starting to think that this is my computer's problem, I did change my system locale to Japanese to play some other games. Might that be the cause? I'm bad at computers so I don't even know what these errors mean xD

So i finished the game but i don't have all cgs sadly. (i've chosen Miyuki at the end) I looked it up and i didn't get the handjob. I don't what i did wrong but i also don't want to replay the whole game again

From what I understand, that patch is meant to fix a different problem where the game shows a black screen and crashes. the issue the user is describing has to do with the installer, which I am also dealing with. The patch doesn't fix the issue.

I'm not sure what to tell you then, I mean, the first .dll problem alone should be in itself a red flag that you're missing something that normally most people would have by now if they touch pretty much almost anything. Like, in hindsight, do you have the latest DirectX 9.0c redistributables? Or hell, even VC+ Redists? Try these variety of links and such and see if anything changes. If not, I'll list some more stuff to install if you don't already have all of them.

Unfortunately, none of them fixed the issue. I did, however, find my own solution. I dug up an old laptop with a nearly detached screen and transferred the game's files onto it, and it worked just fine. I would like to look more into why the game works on the older laptop and not the newer one, but that's probably going to take a while.

Good luck figuring it out! I can't begin to imagine why it wasn't working, especially after running through all of those but, at least you're able to play, so enjoy the game!

I can not trust this translation by Jast.. awful! To use the word woke in a Japanese game from 2013. This makes me think much of this translation is garbage.. I stopped playing it. If they are not going to keep to literal translations than I don't even want to even play it.

Thanks bro, I tried downloading the microsoft runtime web installer you recommended and it worked. I guess my laptop was the problem after all (I'm using quite an old laptop).
