Yeah, this MC has more than two things in common with me, but honestly just not looking or behaving like a less-than-14-year-old boy is a huge workload off of my mental patching.

Other than that, the most powerful incentive is the MC being likeable and realistic for me. I don't really care what their personal tastes are as long as I actually want them to succeed. I like Lucian. He feels like someone I'd get along with so I'm glad to help him get on with whatever gets him on.

Stories are really about stepping into another world for me, so I'm more of a visitor than a self-insert type. Somewhat coincidentally, I often leave the story with more understanding about people with different tastes in a positive way.

The themes in this one are already a hit for me. The characters feel like people. The MC has a dynamic personality. I also like his friend and that he's not there just to make the MC seem superior but also seems capable and like he's not a complete loser when it comes to women. The female characters are very likable. And it seems like there will be a lot of non-sexual story to make the actual scenes more spontaneous, compelling, and exciting. I really enjoy stories where sex is part of the story not so much the plot of the story. AVNs aren't really the place I go to see my stepsister get stuck in the dryer for the 1000th time, lol.

Anyway, I'm in. Looking forward to what you come up with.

The game is alright, liked Larissa, she's pretty bad ass. The only criticism I have from playing 0.15 is that some of the night scenes are way to dark. Like there was this hj scene with an animation [i think], you could barely make out what was happening.

I get that the dev may have wanted to obscure the character, but she gets revealed anyway a few minutes later. I vaguely recall the previous update also had really dark night scenes. Maybe turn on a night lamp for those scenes . cheers.

The main reason I'm even making a VN at all is 100% because there was no MC that I could identify with. They don't look like me. They aren't built like me. I don't really see MCs that looks or acts like Lucian. Stoic guy that doesn't get flustered around nudity, get nervous around strong, powerful women isn't common.

My hope is to create a unique story with unique characters and hopefully scenes that are hot/exciting. The reason I posted a "future tags" comment once the game ended up on this site was to help guide those that aren't into the type of game I'm creating away and hopefully upon something they'd actually enjoy. But that is not what happened!

No "stupid MC" in order to push forward the story. Everyone makes mistakes and he'll make his own, but hopefully he won't be considered a "stupid MC" when it's all said and done! After all, as you said 'lives are at stake'!

It's a huge mistake to force the MC to be turned on about the idea of his girlfriend cheating on him, that is cuck behavior and people will consider that NTR, the bare minimum was to give the choice to the player if they found the idea interesting or not but instead it was forced into the player that causes :

1- people who hate forced kinks/scenecs will leave.
2- You can't combine a stoic badass MC with MC who "I like to watch my girlfriend with 4 guys while sitting in the corner"

Because anyone with half a brain can see the derisive way you framed your post suggests it wasn't about discussion but advocacy.

Just be real for a second - if I went in to say a big-brother style game's thread and said "It's a big mistake the narrator is shown to be peeping on his sisters in shower and wishing to sleep with them. That's hillybilly-ass behavior and will turn people off from the game." i'd be ridiculed and probably shortly have post deleted by mods.

I've seen other posts of yours, it's obvious you don't like these kinds of themes, so why are you here? Go find something with themes you do like and enjoy . Or, if there ARE things you enjoy about the game, focus on telling dev/others those things instead of the things you don't like.

I'm going to respond to this in good faith. It may be a mistake on my part, but we'll see.
There were a lot of people that didn't like the idea of Rock/Rap being smashed together initially, yet Linkin Park made millions.
I remember when they debuted, there were a lot of guys like you, wishing for their downfall because they didn't follow the rules. This isn't to say I'll be a success, but to hopefully put to rest the idea that subjective opinions that seek to shove all art into neat little boxes should not hamper creativity.

I knew going into Visual Novel creation that I wouldn't have a very popular game due to certain limitations on my end, but never thought I'd read "This character looks badass so he HAS to act in a way that makes sense to ME, so that I can self-insert!".
I know the limitations I have as a creator.
1) Low-end GPU/CPU.
2) No experience.
3) Not chasing a hot trend.
With those limitations and with Lucian's looks, I knew I'd have a low interest project. BUT... I've reached the short term goals I'd set. I'm happy with that. I never set out to reach hundreds or even thousands, but I have.

You mentioned Stallone, and I can tell you from real-life experience that his looks wouldn't stop him from sharing/swinging. My experience with Swingers have all been with well-off, attractive couples. There are as many reasons that they enjoy it as reasons you'd have for them not to, and the main reason for me making this VN was to explore the different aspects of sexual experiences from a perspective that I rarely see in VNs, a confident and experienced male.
I am interested though, because you mentioned it, what are the traits associated with being "Badass" that are present in this MC? So far, he hasn't won any fights. He hasn't killed anyone. Hasn't blown up a building. Hasn't Boxed anyone. Hasn't shot an arrow through a guy's head. In fact, he's gotten his ribs broken by a woman. The only thing special about him SO FAR, is that he's subjectively attractive. So I'm interested in picking your brain as it may prove useful.

His character, John Spartan knitting in the film Demolition Man didn't stop him from being a "Badass motherfucker" even though it 'Didn't fit his character'?

Spy games have always fascinated me, and the idea of making choices and living with the consequences enhances the player's immersion, especially in a spy universe. That is why I tried it.

I admit I exaggerated the second point to make an example that stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason, you wouldn't imagine Kratos or Superman as a skinny/fat guy, because that wouldn't fit their character. Still, you can always break the norms it's your game, wish you the best of luck dev.
