Hello, people! I finally returned to you after dealing with my exams. Free and happy, I started to work on the next update. But Plaze texted me a few days ago, revealing my little dark secret. And I can't hide from it anymore. Young Maria is ... not a good game. It can be much, much better. After two or three years, it became pretty obvious to everyone - YM needs a good rebuild session. So, why I mentioned some dark secret of mine? The thing is, I knew it a long time ago, but I was afraid of the amount of work. YM is a huge and poor-built game. But I can't hide from this task anymore! It needs to be done.

Before we dive into big plans, let me introduce a new writer - Ali! He wrote a new scene for the school playground, and I want to show it to you. Here's the "raw" version -

I ordered a few pictures and pieces of music two days ago. And I already get two songs and a sketch of the main poster. If everything goes according to the plan, it will take a couple of months to finish this project. Anyway, I'll be collecting feedback from you for a few days, and then I begin to work.

Noticed on your "Planning" Doc, there's no mention of the "other" option, as in not the "incest" option.
Will you still have 'both' of those "options" available as you, did/do, have for the current Young Maria game ?
( I 'use' both of those 'options' for most of my 'play-throughs' )

I already gave you feedback and you ignored it. Also, you spent years working on this to finally realize that it wasn't fun. Did you just milk your players for 2+ years and did nothing to improve your game? Did you not talk to someone that actually knows how to design the mechanical systems of the game like actual RPG mechanics? I'm sure you could have found someone that can design the mechanics of your game to be an enjoyable process. This is coming from a person that does design RPGs and world building for over 2 decades.

This is why I try before I buy. You are the perfect example of why people should wait to support anyone on Patreon regardless if it's an adult game or not.

EDIT: Reviewed your design document. It's terrible. The playback loop is nothing more then a poorly designed skinner box and doesn't have any mechanics listed on how to improve things or what the effects are of doing any actions. I did see that you removed player choice and are forcing players to play the game as how you wanted them to. That's in regards to the teleportation to work or school and get a debuff for it.

What is the point behind the time element? Is it a gating mechanic? Is it there to punish the player? What does a set schedule actual do for your game design?

the pregnancy bugged all my saves apparently since there was an option to abort on untill day 25 and after the option is gone on all save even on day 20 so i have to restart my gameplay from scratch

Hello, people! These two weeks were really tiresome. A lot happened, but I'll give you the most important information. First of all, I'm happy to see that you - fans - liked the idea of rebuilding Young Maria! It's important for me to know that you agree with my ideas:3 I received a lot of feedback and tried to answer everyone.

Well, let's start. I defined three main steps that I (with my team) need to do: 1) Remove almost everything except the very base of the game; 2) Rewrite the base widgets/passages/systems and build new ones; 3) Add new places and content according to the plan. I almost finished the first part. Tomorrow I just need to clean the StoryCaption passage and bathroom passages a bit. I try to do things quickly, so I will finish later some tiny parts.

Also, I created four new documents, where I keep tracking of every significant change, make notes and do some brainstorming. I'm also working on a "document," where I write down the main rules for YM's code writing and styling.

By the way, we now have Cathar on the team! She is a new Project Coordinator, and she already ran fantastic research, making a useful document after this. Now I know what players want to see in YM and what I should remove completely.

I still have something to tell you, but I guess it's time to end this post. I also received a couple more soundtracks (and I love them!) and a game poster I'm still unsure about (picture below). Well, that's it. Have a good day and see you in two weeks!;3

Hello, boys and girls! Today you'll see the very early version of a new Young Maria, and I'm really happy that I'm able to show you something You won't be able to see many changes, and a vast amount of (temporarily?) removed content will terrify you, but.. I want you to see what I achieved. Let me bring a small list of changes:

• Some of the body slots were removed, some turned into new ones, and some added. You'll be able to see it in the game
  
  
• Erotic accessories were replaced with piercings
  
  
• You can see semen stains on the body now. I decided to leave five "cum slots": face, body (breasts), groin, in vagina, and in anus. Yes, now you can see creampies! (Spoiler, you can hide them by wearing pants/shorts)
  
  
• You'll meet new requirements for buying stuff in shops: you must have enough corruption or intellect points to buy lewd or smart-looking clothes. I'll develop this new stat later
  
  
• In shops and the wardrobe, you'll be able to look at clothes on a mannequin now. It copies your character's eyes and hair, but not breasts size
  

The current version of YM is definitely not playable, and I want you to check out just one thing - clothes. So, thank you for understanding Don't use old saves. Just go to Lexena Market, where I left some temporary built-in cheat links. Then go to the wardrobe and experiment with some cheat links there. I hope you'll like the changes:3

Just as a simple necklace with 30 has a higher requirement than a necklace with 10, albeit of a different attribute.

As things stand, the clothing system would be a no go for me and still requires a lot of thought.

Hello, everybody! First of all, I congratulate you on the end of the boring part. Clothes and food systems were two the biggest and toughest parts I finally finished. Now comes more juicy content like school and family stuff...

The second thing I want to tell you is a big thank you to everyone who gave me material and advice this month. I store everything I can on Desktop, and this pile of docs is getting bigger every week! Special thanks to Charlotte and Mrs. Kisoc

Now, back to the progress I made. After a quick depression session, I somewhat finished the "mainChar" stats, then changed "HaveASexWidget", created a new utility widget "RealTimer" and so on. I also added placeholders for Hospital and Cafe - two new locations.

I'll be quick about food. This system is goddamn huge, and you do want to check out the help link I left in the Kitchen -> Cooking. This is your workspace, yep. You can gather growing ingredients and condiments at the house Garden, in Park, on the Beach, on the Farm, or buy everything in Lexena Market. Then go to Kitchen -> Cooking and cook something. Add condiments to make it better. Every food will give you a temporary stats boost or some Energy.
P.S.: So many people asked me, and now you have it. Home-made beer!

Okie, now it's time to rest. I'm so damn proud of myself.. See you people in two weeks. Love you all.
