It's funny how people think a game made for WOMEN wouldn't be gay, Yaoi, BL nonsense, male yandere stuff, is literally made by women for women, this is the equivalent a guy watching threesome(MFF) where women fuck each other and complain about lesbian stuff, lol. 50 shades of grey and twilight are pretty gay, cause they're made by women for women.

..not between man.......those are rivals for jayce......dat want the female mc.....
...mc is a grey blob girl.....
oh OH oh Jayce be gurly?! ah hmm oh
oh interesting ... we str8ers play FMC and MMC alike as str8 for a guy, even when MMC is just POV goggles or has no form as in some well known games, but do the FMC the same so she's not part of what we're watching and viola GAY.. or yea sure for women

This is about a male love interest pursuing, or being pursued by, a female main character. The images are of the male love interest. Surmounting from that, that the game must not be straight because "there are no girls in the previews" is like seeing any other old game with a preview gallery full of naked women and assuming it must be a lesbian game.

This is what an actual, real FMC game looks like. Get over it. And if it's not your cup of tea, or you don't get it, that's fine. It means you're not the target audience. No biggie, just move along to any of the other 99% of games that are made with you in mind.

Why are you getting all hurt about this game? I don't get it.

Yes, we want to see naked male character(s), not FMC! The dev will add more customization of FMC btw.

If this is directed at me, you might want to reread my comment; I was saying it's interesting how we presume a male subject, which is partially what you're saying only no resentful preaching. It's kind of the opposite of the Netori/Netorare dichotomy we accept. In other words FMC is typically still usually designed for a male player, and this game is the first example I've seen of something unmistakably for FP which I thought typologically cool.

No, it wasn't directed at you specifically. Or at all, honestly. It happened to be posted after a message by you, but wasn't a reply to that message. It was directed at other messages in the thread, that kept requesting it be tagged as gay while very clearly not having played the game. I didn't want to quote all the messages because they were quite a few, so ended up not quoting any.

Sorry if that made it feel like it was directed at you.

It wasn't.

I can clearly see in your comment that you were saying rather the opposite.

Sorry if I came across as preaching. I just was getting the vibe that some people (again, not you) were getting resentful that this game was not for them. And that made me resentful in return, I guess. I won't apologize for that, but I do apologize for preaching, which is in poor taste and something I don't like.

Yep, most of the FMC games out there are undeniably made for a male audience. Nothing wrong with that, of course, except that it's basically almost all of them. So when a FMC comes out that caters for a female audience, it's a breath of fresh air. I guess I got a little overprotective because of that, for which again I apologize.

FYI I'm more than conversationally interested in bias analysis and intersectional identities and would caution against riding the wave as all it's doing is reinforcing the same oppressive force. Don't want to go on here for various reasons and certainly not with you after that tone./end
I would be open to continue talking about this with you, with a calm disposition and a better tone, if you're interested. Either here or through private messages. I am willing to see other points of view. I would also understand if you don't feel comfortable talking further about it because my tone made you uncomfortable, in which case I won't press any further, as I wouldn't want to cause you discomfort.

TL/DR;
I'm sorry if I made you feel attacked. It wasn't my intention, and I wasn't replying to you. Sorry.

I didn't understand almost anything about the story of this game, there were times when I even skipped some parts because I didn't understand it so much, another thing I don't know why the game's images have this type of color, it looks like when televisions used to have colors, well that's what I noticed in this first update, I don't know if I'll go back to playing precisely because of these things I mentioned.

Not at all, sorry sorry, you caught that quick I removed the latter part, within seconds!, after I realised your comment wasn't... all that preachy or culture-erasure-y... My reaction was to a misperceived semblance/adherence to the current global trend.

So yeha, not for tone, but I still don't like using my acrademically stucktued arguments and realsy voice/dictionings any forym or socials. Simply, for interest, see much emporewment&rights-type stuff as just the latest dolce&chanel choice for kepitalist hegemoononism and newo-colonialoscopy;)

anyway, slapping "this isn't what I'm into so it shouldn't exist" comments right across their avatars is fair game indeed. I just sometimes get caught in the cross fire for wanting to discuss stuff i'm not actually into or just make outta curiousitinesses. so yeah rock on!

and thanks for being so reassuring.

The game jumps between the POV of Jayce and the MC. When we play the game through Jayce's eyes 1st person POV is used (I, me) and he refers to us aka the MC as 'you'. When in MC's eyes 2nd person POV is used (you, your).
For example, the entirety of the prologue is Jayce's POV. We are reading his internal monologue as he refers to himself (I) and what he thinks of you (MC) as his savior complex yandere psyche is developed.
Thus, his storyline sections are linear, there are no options to choose from.

The background's coloring reflects his darker mood, and the art is the visuals to his internal and external change.
When it jumps to MC's POV the background is more pink. Because we are now playing as MC we are able to see Jayce as a sprite, apart from the scenes where it takes two to tango. We are also given options to choose from like how we greet Jayce or what we say at the supermarket.

The star of the game is Jayce, not MC. We are learning the reasoning behind why he does what he does for the MC. It's also why he's the eye candy for the majority of the CGs; we're here to gaze at him, a man, not women. MC is a gray model medium to self insert and get reactions out of him. As is the dev's plan for the choice options to branch Jayce into green flag, red flag, or black flag territory.
