make the minigame a choice before gameplay.
a lot of people do not explore the settings or options - myself included when testing something that should be obvious (hgame = porn in gameplay, not, arcade game with some porn).
you seem to have thin skin. what youre making is cool. your intentions for a struggle system is really cool. maybe the player needs to have more control over the minigame options - the struggle mechanics, or, if there can be an improved visual interface/ui - maybe you show things differently, like one side of the screen with "damage" being taken or something if the player needs to press a button that coincides with that part of the screen (left, right, up, down).
