This game desperately needs a walkthrough if you're going to make me decode random magical cyphers as if I'm a literal magician.

As always with vns that have minigames in them I suggest having the option to skip them.
Even more so here as there is no explanation as to how it actually works.

Yea, quality-of-life options like skippable puzzles and a renamable protagonist would be appreciated.
Yea totally my fault I should just learn how to decode magical cyphers in my spare time. It's very simple to just have minigame skips in VN's these days.

I have not played the update yet but I can imagine ( by reading some of the posts so far ) that the decoding of magical cyphers is the puzzle part of the game ( as opposed to the Visual Novel part ). Solving or decoding it is the game, without it there is no actual game, just reading and watching, making choices. Probably there is a clue or hints somewhere, otherwise it will be most likely unsolvable puzzle ( without cheating )

Anyway, I guess that StolenRose would really like it if there is a feedback with how the puzzle mechanic works or not works. Just thinking out loud, what is the point of making minigames or puzzles if they are skippable or avoidable? For sure, every players will skip it if it doesn't give any kind of reward.
But yeah, enough speculating, I will try this update myself and report back.

While I agree on that skipping part as I'm mostly not too fond of those puzzles myself....but in this game it's just the easiest ever.
MC litteraly says what it is about before the puzzles....I just entered that phrase on Google and the answer(s) just pop up within the first 1-3 options available.
Pigben Cipher on Google just gives you an image with the symbols and what they stand for.
Same goes for the next ridle, MC just litteraly points out where the song is from....can't miss it.
Apart from that I am curious what traits are more beneficial in the long run.
But this game is awesome in practicly all aspects, be it the writing, the renders, story wise, the different characters and the animations.
It's one of those rare games I did not skip any dialogue.
And actually played more than 1 possible outcome using the different options and gaining different traits.
Can't wait for the next update!

yes brother especially for me I have a reading disability so it's extra hard for me

Yeahhhh. Meanwhile, those of us who give a fuck about name changing do so because we have names we use for all our gaming. I've been using mine since 1994, when I got my first PC and went on my first MUD via 14.4kBaud dialup. No, it's not this name. Sometimes it's already in use. Nor is is pussyslayer69 or whatever juvenile names you thought up as an excuse to not implement what's a fairly trivial mechanic. And it will lose you those of us who give a damn about using the game names we've been using for longer than some of the ppl on this site have been a-fucking-live.

but something I want to know please tell me swansong is one of the main girls because she's my type.
I like them crazy and dangerous and the other girls are way too friendly
Does the God choice actually matter? If we choose none, we get better stats according to the variables. But, if chosen, game says it's not recommended for a first playthrough.

You get different scenes/outcomes depending on it. Like for instance, if you side with Luna, the Dean interrogation goes differently. Same with Morrigan, as per the previous posts. Assume that each one will have their time in the spotlight and change dialogues/scenes to give a unique experience.

On topic of the update, it was pretty awesome. Still loving me some Rayne, and Brandon got a lot more interesting. Music is prime by the way, going to need a playlist of that.
I don't see a harem tag though, so please don't force any girls on us lol. Having to constantly reload autosaves just to avoid sex with other girls was annoying (since the choices don't actually let you know what is going to happen). For instance, asking Odette to dance, thinking it might get me some info, actually is just you guys going off to have sex. And going to visit Brianna, instead is some weird slave roleplay sex. Didn't expect that so soon, was just hoping to get to know her.
But yeah, that stuff wasn't really clear and as I said, since it's not a harem, I'm guessing it's going to be a one girl thing and don't want any unnecessary drama by being forced to sleep around. Would just be nice to have some more direct "accept" or "reject" choices in there (like the first one with Rayne).
But yeah, otherwise, update was great. Still an interesting story and curious where it goes from here. Thanks!
*Spoiler - from the last scene. It seems you get to sleep with Victoria if you skip Swansong & Odette
