So I'm just starting this - still only at day 2 but so far the only one I like is Alice, and maybe Rayne - maybe but only if the Succubus part can be removed/shut down (and by like I mean I find the rest of the characters so far annoying). Should I continue or move on to a different game?

I had issues with the first two days myself. Some of them were solved, some of them remained. But the third day was great and chapter 2 completely hooked me. So if by the end of chapter 1 you're still don't like it I'd recommend just move on.

Yeah, leaving with Chloe after day 3 is the ending I'm sticking with. I tried the other way and I would have died rather than making the bargain. Thanks everyone but not for me.

It's good that we, the esteemed users of F95, all think that some deeds cannot go unpunished, especially when someone else does that. Truly, not everything's been lost in our world.

Honestly, the quality of writing in this game is on another level. It is pretty clear that the author knows how to write a gripping story and develop each character well and not leave any character feeling like an archetype. the plot is almost always intriguing, with one not knowing where it will take them next but enjoying the ride nonetheless. The words used in the story show a high level of both English knowledge and occult/legends knowledge.

An interesting aspect in which this game differs in a major way from the average VN here is that you play as someone with a pre-defined personality, instead of the usual "Blank-slate Protagonist". However, this was handled well, with a nice balance between their pre-existing personality and allowing you to have some agency in the story.

The art style is pretty good and pretty distinctive. The characters both look good and look interesting. Pretty far from the cookie cutter art style found in many western Visual Novels. It is clear that the developer spent a lot of time and effort on the scenes.

The music used is pretty good and very much fits each scene it is played in, same with the sound effects.

Overall, this is a very good game that is highly recommended to anyone that enjoys quality stories in their games .

The only one to claim that the world can end as a result of any of this was Marie, whose testimony is disqualified due to her needing to convince us by any means necessary. Furthermore, The Endless was not hostile when we met it. It seems like its voice is simply hurtful to our ears/body, not that it intentionally wants to attack humans. So I highly doubt the end of the world is a possible result to any of this.

Good question, another one is what did Caleb see at the final scene of that ending that changed his expression.

This I did wonder. We never got a clue about this one. Any thoughts guys?

What was maries plan to begin with ?was it for caleb to become the vessel of the endless? Why does he need the eyes for that also? And why does she need him on a pact?
Also what was that compulsion spell she placed on Caleb?

And Was Marie sold to the endless the moment she killed invictus ?and couldn't she have given the endless any vessel to save herself from being taken over by it why is she focusing on caleb?

With the ending you focus on Alice what did Caleb do at the end did he kill the void feeding on Alice?
Did he just inherit the eyes then kill himself?
Even if he killed himself that wouldn't have solved the problem which is the endless taking over Marie's body.
And btw she also mentioned that he is her brother is it just that she sees him that way?

-He needs the eyes to stay in control of his body and his actions after The Endless merges with him. She needs him on a pact so she can control him then (the pact is basically a form of hypnosis) and thus control the power of The Endless for her goals. The compulsion spell was to make sure he agrees to the pact.

-She was sold before she killed Invictus. She thought killing him might help but it didn't. No one besides Caleb could have tolerated The Endless merging with them without going insane.

-He sacrificed himself to the "traveler" so the "Traveler" that was feeding on Alice becomes full and leaves.
It would have solved it because, like I said, no one besides him is valid for The Endless, and being with The Endless if you aren't valid is insanity and torture. so Marie would probably kill herself rather than join with The Endless.
Probably, as we didn't see any evidence that he is her flesh and blood brother.

Recently got around to play this last update. Concerning the subway puzzle, Stolen_rose, I figured out fairly easily it was a Caesar cipher what with the first single-letter that was most likely an "a", so I found the decoding almost immediately - but then I spent at least half an hour if not more trying to type in various words or expressions (both back-encoded and not) that I assumed the phrase expected me to find a synonym to / be a definition of. It took me AGES to realize all I needed to do was type in the decoded words themselves. That could use some signposting in some way. Oh, and also - good job, you removed most of my motivation to keep playing by killing Alice. I can't say I'm particularly invested in anyone else.

Personally I find Lilith and Swansong the most interesting chars in a game.
As for the main LIs (supposedly), I dunno, let’s go with Marie, though honestly, I don’t expect a happy ending on her route either, - bad one seems the most logical to me.

(Quick and dirty)

-Works with all versions.
-Works with old saves.
-Should work with WT (unless WT has own name change).
-Only changes first name.
-Does require notepad (text editor) to edit your name.
(Hence the quick and dirty.)

Instructions:
1. Copy file into ZeroEnd "game" folder.
2. Open with text editor.
3. Replace word "YOURNAME" with your name and make sure there is the quotes.
(On 2nd line of text).
E.g. "YOURNAME" = "John"
4. Save and done.

(Explanation:
Uses replace command to replace the word Caleb. Also redefines Character name in characters.rpy without needing to edit that file)
