Oooh boi here comes the hardest part of my job. Writing these posts without being distracted by music and videos on my second tab... (I get distracted very easily when writing).
Here's the forth and this month's poll animation
Despite being a shorter one this is one of my favourite in a long while! I had such a blast animating this and it really made me appreciate more the character of Minthara and all the potentials she has! As previously I was more focused on Shadowheart since... Recruiting Minthara in general is quite hard in game so I don't have actually spent much time with her. (There's no way I can bring myself to betray the grove).
Anyway this animation is based on the idea of the Absolute failing to convert the goblins who stayed loyal to Maglubiyet! D:<
Progresses:
Ok let's start with the main thing, as you can see one of the things that really took a while to animate was the background characters. I spent a considerable amount of time animating the other goblins in order to give more immersion and life to the scene
One of the reason being that I want to improve my "sfw" animations, where as I mentioned before I lack a bit. I am studying how to properly animate these by taking it slow, doing some sort of "blocking" where I'd animate it in a very stylised way before adding details. A very classic method. Other than that something I used to do a lot in the past was to animate characters from the camera point of view which often resulted in nonsensical movements that may only look good from the camera pov but actually for this exact reason may feel unnatural. So the keyword here is: patience. Don't rush it as rushing it most of the times result in an even slower process of adjusting errors.
I'd like to focus more my attention on vagina's animation, animate it being tighter and more wrapped around the cock. Trying out some techniques to have the vagina wrap tight and be also a bit "dragged" by it going in and out. But will test more techniques next month as this month is ending! :3
So far it's about using a combination of Shrinkwrap modifier on the vagina hole and a Corrective Smooth modifier to fix the shape. But I'm not very happy with this method so I'd like to test more with bones and then use Shrinkwrap constraints on them or using a lattice modifier. Anyway will test more as it has potential to look very cool
Something very small but that actually has a big impact is the eyes. Adding a subtle glow to them, making the iris pop off more by making them brighter really adds something beautiful!
I've been experimenting a lot with eyes, making them a little glowy just enough to see their color in the shadow or adding a fake reflection to make them look more wet and real. Basically for the Iris you simply add it to the emission node, if the texture is not just for the iris but for the entire eye you may have to create a mask. As for the fake reflection, you either render a picture of what's in front of them or use an image that resembles the place where they are and add it to the emission node!
You may need to tweak it a bit to look good, I recommend using a color ramp.
