So he stopped doing Beasty cause it no longer interests him (I have a feeling people loved when he did it), but keeps making crunching toes because subscribers want to see that (when he supposedly doesn't wanna make it)?
That's weird.
Firstly, if something no longer interests you, even if your subscribers like it, you can stop. Secondly, he expressed that it's not necessarily his thing, meaning it's not something he's into, but doesn't mind doing it because it makes his subscribers happy (and honestly it's not invasive as other fetishes). I can very easily write off an animation that has a fetish I don't like in the thumbnail. Seeing feet in a thumbnail or "a focus" never bothers me, even if it's a fetish I'm not particularly into (hair fetish grosses me out, for example).
Sorry if I'm getting this wrong/confused, does that mean he's quitting or just updating his hardware?
That's a post from years ago. No idea when it was though. I started following him when he was doing blender animations already. I assume it refers to him going from SFM to Blender.
I think there is a significant difference between animating having sex with an animal vs animating feet in frame lol. Dude just chose to make a fetish that has some really needy people who constantly ask for more, thus making him more encouraged to do more. Literally same thing happens with artists who do a bit too much futa.
Futa gang notices the artist, floods the comments and supporter sites and sort of integrates itself into the community.
Happens with most successful artists. They continue to do what works, not what fails. And holding a niche that people can't just ignore can leave too much to the algorithm.
That is very weird indeed - I vividly recall his subscribers (including myself, at the time) being very unhappy when he stopped doing beast content. In fact, I haven't subscribed to him since.
I really wish he would ignore his subscribers once again, lol - I find the constant focus on toes in his videos distracting.
It's more of the thing on X. You pop open the new post on X, scroll to comments and all you see is FEET FEET FEET OMG NICE FEET MORE FEET. It gets tiring but I guess also indicates demand for it. I would agree though that ZMSFM should really reconsider just excluding visible feet here and there. I'm no artist but it must be hard making animations angles that have feet in frame.
I think ZMSFM at this point just things he wants to do.
Case and point - the OCs. Who have... rather interesting traits. Hope they get freaky.

It’s simple. All major artists now feature feet in their renders because ff is so common and it means extra money and exposure for basically very little additional effort. Feet people were so persistent and annoying that they’ve actually achieved what they wanted.
