personally, I’ve maybe had one or two crashes between the uh, “zombie trilogy”

Maybe one more when it comes to town or passion where the dungeonscan sometimes be uncooperative

There was definitely Some wonkiness near the end of azl. No crashes tho.

It can be done. But I guess for some the quest is bugged.

The quest can be achieved (i.e. you can have the H-scene with Fiona). But it's impossible to have this quest completed in the quest log.

For the simple reason that there is no call to complete it in the script. There are 2 calls to complete the quest 16 (i.e. "Tricks and Treats" with Meredith); but the second one (event 56) is incorrect, as it concerns in fact the scene with Fiona (another "copy and paste drama", I presume).

Any one any idea how to finished 'A Ghoulish Mystery' quest? I mean I got the orb to light up and placed it on the grave. I went to every door to get the candy.

But that one quest stays open...

I don't understand, so, we are blocked and we can't finish the update right now due to a "bug" ?

Attached, a quick fix for this bug.


Download, decompress and replace the "Map090.json" file in the "\www\data" sub-folder of the game. DO BACKUP the original file first.


Once you've finished the Halloween quest with Fiona (i.e. when you've got the H-scene with her) and that the quest (i.e. "A Ghoulish Mystery") is still considered as active:

- after having replaced the "Map090.json" file with the one I've provided,

- start the game and load your saved game file,

- talk to the "Event escort" character in the Grid area to start the Halloween event again (choose the "Halloween" option),

- talk to Fiona :

- agree to replay the H-scene (i.e. choose the "Of course!" option).
- the first time, you should now see the indication that the concerned quest is now achieved:



*** EDIT***

This patch is ONLY for the situation when you've achieved the quest (i.e. already got the Halloween H-scene with Fiona) but that the quest is still active in the quest log. It's NOT a patch to complete the quest.

Patch version2 : also includes a fix for the original bug itself (i.e. when playing the Halloween events the first time), to avoid the above situation.

Wasn't there someone who showed a picture on this thread, where we didn't recognize meridith and aunt kissing each other or so. It was drawn in this style ... (But I couldn't find the picture anymore)

The "easy mode" offers a cheat book in the player's room.

SirenSez is specifically a code that activated incest mode in the last Zombie's Retreat, are you saying that's only available in easy mode now? It's technically not a cheat.

You can just put in the roles. Meredith is mom, Jenny is sister and Olivia is aunt.

OH! I mixed that up! Yeah, so in the regular game you can edit the roles at the same book in your room!

There is one reported incident where names don't match up (they used the default names and role, when Meredith and Olivia first meet or something) , it's a page or two back, but seems to be one instance. But just a heads up.

As a complement to the former answers, the location of the 3 tombs is randomly determined (i.e. it may be different for each player): but there are in fact only 3 possible combinations in the game.

And so, yes talking to the "Cute Cop" before is the key (BTW, order matters).
