Changing the "hasEncryptedImages" and "hasEncryptedAudio" in the system.json file to false seems to fix the issue

tbh most proper translations are not 100% accurate. they just appear proper as it is in proper English but direct translation wise it is 70% accurate at best.
machine translation is more accurate in terms of translating but it is not in common English to be easily understood.

That's because Japanese is a mainly context base language. Contexts or even subjects of a sentence are usually omitted. Not helping is the fact that in writing dialogue for manga/game, the 3 alphabets can be used interchangeably (for example, words usually written in hiragana is now written in katakana, because it convey a special meaning.)
There are also terms, slangs (especially sex slangs in porn like this) that machines can only translate literally, words by words.

Take them out, make them feel important, and maybe they won't lose interest long enough to be your girlfriend.
There is a ? mark on the city, where you have to trigger it to see the ending of each girls. It has 2 choice, once is single ending, another is harem (just choose single 1st, then it will bring you back to where you can choose the ending) which end up being girlfriend. After that, you can get the last outfit (somewhere on map) and add piercing at shop...
