I'd also always assumed she. Not sure anybody actually knows, though.
Pretty sure that was never revealed how they identify. Though Sindy Anna is definitely a female name :) in my language we address non-binary people by the gender of their name without any desconsideration. Let's not fall into politically correctness :)

No matter how Sindy identifies it's not for us to judge , just perhaps respect!

I just simply think the comics are some of the best in the genre and even beyond. :)

FWIW, it's not a given that Project Nemesis / Bellerophon is the same artist are SAJ. In their blog, SAJ refers to PN/PB always in the third person, and claims to be learning 3D modelling (esp. in the first posts).

PN/PB has released all of the assets used for STFW to the public, so anyone can pick them up and start a series on them.
It's quite possible SAJ just picked those up and went along with the theme (and with the openness in sharing the assets they have developed for the Lithium and OHB series).

The same goes for Tira Yugen and The Rather Magnificent Family Bubble. TY refers to SAJ as their mentor, and has explicitly said she's using the models SAJ has released to the public. (And yes, RMFB is “officially” set in the STFW universe, we see this in the recently released Chapter 4: Anna's ex-boyfriend Patrick is Bob's psychologist from OHB1).

While it's definitely possible that they are all different pen names with the same person behind them, personally I prefer to keep each comic/series associated with the corresponding pen name (if not else, to respect the author's wish to keep the “writing persona” separate, if it's all by the same author). I don't mind the complete STFW series being in this set, but I think it would be better to name it properly ;-)

If we throw RMFB in the set we can just rename the thread to something like “STFW Universe Collection” with all the author names tagged.

I don't know if any other series or comics within Project Bellerophon/Project Nemesis are ones she authored and/or rendered. I just know of Space Trek and I also have "Shadows and Lust" in there because it seems to be her art. And I've liked that comic anyways.
I think you meant "Shadows and Dust"

pretty sure its a woman, some of the author notes in comics seem to indicate that.
she makes a note about 'man-up' and also quite a few notes about violence towards woman or alchol abuse.
but the moment she make charlie in lithium mention sore breasts because of hormones is to me a pretty clear indication the author is most likely a woman.

not that the gender of the author is important
reminds me of a book price orso they awarded to a 'female writer' in spain orso a while back. turned out that behind the writers name was actually a collective for 3 male writers who wrote the books togheter. imagine the outrage amongst feminists :p

If you're a Sindy Anna Jones fan, follow the excellent blog at sindyannajones.com

Sindy was about to be kicked off Blogger (they're having a crackdown on adult content, I gather) so a follower set Sindy up with a website and copied all of the blog content over.

All the artwork is on there along with suitably wonderful slightly batshit posts by the ever-engaging SAJ. Fuck me, I think I'm in love.
