In case anyone is wondering, the lack of drama obviously isn't why the game got shafted. On his discord, Smiling Dog talked about how the pre-rewrite version only got roughly 120+ downloads. He tried to re-work the game to address some complaints but the rewrite version literally only got 31 downloads. So the game just wasn't popular pre or post rework. Shame cuz I liked it.

Yeah. Hopefully he was still able to put a version with a good finish for those that liked this game

It was somewhere in the story, then got a rewrite up to the first character and now it is "finnished".
So yeah, it is officially finished, but it sounds like a hastly published end to a game that didn't get enough attention from the audience.

He will release publicly in less than 2 weeks (at least based on his history). I haven't paid attention if people respect that period or not. I know some devs who have gotten upset about the early Patreon period being bypassed.

Maybe but if those potential players refused to download the game, then they can't complain when the creator believes the game to be unpopular due to lack of downloads.

If the creator believes he can start getting people's attention by releasing that small amount of content in a classic-style VN game. That's what he would get. especially since this game is old VN style.

I mean, was it small amount of content? By the time, it was deemed unpopular, you fully corrupted 4 targets with 2 more targets introduced with 18 NSFW scenes. That's a decent chunk of content right there. At the very least, enough content that one shouldn't feel the need to "wait" for more.
