I'm not sure how one gets through episode 1 with no lewd content. Krystal's scene at her house is still there. You could miss that if you chose not to have her as one of your girls. There's also sexual tension with Skylar, including nudity. I know some people don't enjoy buildup in games and just want to get to the fucking, but experiences like Skylar's nudity (particularly when she's pressed up against the MC) and kissing someone you want to fuck is quite exhilarating in real life, and for me that translates to in game. I think the pacing of episode 1 works better now. Darci and the MC's practice being interrupted may be frustrating, but if I am not mistaken, that was already what happened in the original?

If we were at episode 5 (or even 2 or 3) with absolutely nothing but fully clothed teasing, not even a hint of anything sexual, I might be feeling a little 'come on now, let's move this along a bit', but we're not. We're given a full sex scene in episode 1, with more following in later episodes.

I tend to ignore the opinions of anyone who frames them with the phrase "blue balls" either way. So even if there were no sexual content in episode 1, not even a bare nipple, it would be an automatic disqualification from being considered a relevant opinion.

The videos seem to use a lot of CPU on decode/playback. Free up more CPU by closing your browser in particular plus anything else that's eating up cycles. Of course if your CPU is shitty enough, like mine, that won't be enough.

You can try a custom built ffmpeg MMX enabled Ren'Py lib/ for either Linux or Windows. Caveat is I built it without any of the SDKs. It did have a seg fault with Jessica's poke video (worked 2nd time), but it seemed fine otherwise. I did not replay the entire game with it. YYMV.

Linux users need to rename Ripples-0.4.5-pc/lib/py3-linux-x86_64/renpy to Ripples-0.4.5-pc/lib/py3-linux-x86_64/Ripples.
Windows users do nothing or possibly rename & move Ripples-0.4.5-pc/lib/py3-windows-x86_64/renpy.exe to Ripples-0.4.5-pc/Ripples.exe.

Thanks a lot gojira667. This fixed the problem with animations not only in this game, but in some others also that I tried it (LoF, Artemis). You're the best. Gotta love this community!

If people can't handle "slow burns" like the one in episode 1, they'd never be able to handle some of the other AVNs.
This person must hate Eternum I put Ripples and Eternum very close to each other in terms of my favorite AVNs, there's others of course but less slow burn, and I don't wanna get off topic lol

I wish we had that font back for her name. I like it much more. Mine still has the colour, and I guess it better fits the general styling of the game, but the original looked nicer. It could still use the damaged 'rift in time/reality' effect. It's the extra-blockiness I don't like vs. the smoother, more rounded look it had before.

Lots of folks forget the "N" part of AVN stands for "Novel", and that "AVN" doesn't stand for "All Vaginas & Nudity".

If you don't want a story, just go to 3D image sites and grab stills and quick loops. Come to this place if you like a story that happens to include relationship progression and a little bit of exploration on the way to full sexual intimacy.

Sort of like how some folks seem to think removing a couple of sex scenes somehow makes it more of a build-up, like removing Krystal BJ at school somehow builds it up and makes the story better, even though you fuck her 5 minutes later, but yes I know, despite playing the game since start, and loving the story, somehow not liking the changes to the first chapter now means I just want a mindless fuckfest with no story, because some irrational fanboys can't stand people not liking a change to the story, even when it makes the story make less sense, like Krystal banging on and on about not being a slut, despite giving us no reason to think so, as opposed to the original where she gives us a BJ for no reason.

Removing a couple of scenes somehow builds up the story more, reminds me of those fucking bombers from whichever shitty star wars movie had them and people said they are magnetised but did not get attracted to the metal ship, or it's a kid's movie, with fucking decapitations, amputations, and flat out murder.

I didn't knew about that, but as much Skylar vibe fits that, I'm happy it did change. I mean, it doesn't fit the story if the father went to prison because of that, unless it was a family shop. Specially because of the effort she's making to help her mom, not to mention in "teen" age, that can also create some kind of fear or trauma due to a parent being in jail when young.

So yeah, as much it would be cool, it fits more the story that way. At least it is my personal opinion, some may differ.

I will be making AVNs, not porno games. thankyouverymuch. If that makes me elitist, oh well. I am writing what I like, the stories I have within me. I certainly agree. I'm in love with the story like I am with another similar game involving time travel by Motkeyz. That being said, and this may have been covered, but I am getting an error after the recap of Episode 4 and going into 5 where it says image not found. Is this something on my end or the current end of the story?

Are you playing with the mod or without? I only ask 'cause I played with the mod and didn't have that kind of problem.

Another question would be did you save before the transition scene at the end of 4 or on the scene or after it? (I always save just before, when mystery guy says "you did good" in this case).
