Brainstorming for new content:

- Necropolis theatre has nightly performances
- We can also "go to see a show" as a reward
- We have slaves trained to sing and dance
- We can already sell slaves to the theatre, but this is permanent, so what if we could also:
a) rent them to the theatre as supporting cast for a performance
b) rent the theatre space itself (or, for a higher fee, the space we visit when we "go to see a show")
- In both cases, subject to availability -- make arrangements in advance, except maybe events for last minute requests to fulfill (lead "broke a leg", understudy got beaten, can you help?)
- For supporting cast, required to come dressed in costume (random pick of outfits, a reason to use stuff you otherwise might not), have good hygiene, charm, etc (another reason to use full spa services before sale), you get a fixed minimum for the work with a bonus for charm and skills (-- or less pay and lose rep [penalty for future pay and have to wait longer for a slot in future] if you don't show up or slave has low charm/skill or performs poorly)
- For solo performance, can choose to send slave + assistant, and master's characteristics also play a role (similar to how we do it for negotiated sales) ... with extra weight on personality (which means you will earn more from this when you're living in high society and are known for it)
- In this case it's like auctions, the more charm, and fame, the better, you get a percentage of ticket sales based on audience size ... also better if slave can both sing and dance well

Separately, for art, commissioned time-limited jobs that the slave has to work to fulfill, spending some energy each day she works on it (like how tattoos have to do done over time), where you also compete against other slaves for the same job so the patron might prefer a different slave's piece and pay you nothing, but then the guild will pay you a small consolation fee (if the quality of the work is at least B+, which is guaranteed with A+ or better art skill).

Portable small capacity stasis chamber you can install in the slums to keep beer and a few food ingredients, expensive. Requires recharging with sparks by you or a slave with D- or better magic skill (you / they can spend 1 spark + energy to charge it, more efficient at higher magic skill [at D-, 1 spark charges it for a day, at S+ 1 spark charges it for 5 days]). If you forget to charge it, the food inside spoils. For cooking the ingredients, can also buy a portable stove, spark-powered, costs 1 spark per meal prepared, slave/master needs to have at least D- magic skill to use it. Leaving expensive equipment in the slums can attract thieves/gangs attention and lead to extortion ... or disappearance of your equipment if you have only one slave and take them out somewhere.

Witchdoctor trained slave (magic, nurse, alchemy all B+ or better) can work a night shift at hospital, for moderate pay [scaling with specialization level] in exchange of 2.5 energy (also counts as exertion like athletics). Benefit if living in Serpentine district: shorter commute, save half energy star. Have to commit to at least a decade, lose fame for each shift day missed (due to unconscious or you don't have slave anymore). Slave will automatically go work the shift at night, after preparing meal (if applicable) and bathing. If slave ends day without enough spare energy, she will still go, but will lose endurance and have less energy in the morning.



As a patrician or minimum B+ rep with Taurus House, gain access to attend/participate in VIP battles once every two decades. Win condition is incapacitation, not killing, you pay a heavy fine if your slave kills her opponent. Using non-lethal weapons is therefore advisable so you can fight all out, though not mandatory. Slave fights using what she wears (armor/weapons) and is allowed to use 3 elixirs per round, same for competition. Pay for each round passed, scaling up the closer you are to 1st place, plus a one-time bonus for first-time victory (dark horse) per slave. Bonus if slave performs well in lesbian orgy after the battles (provided she isn't worse than slightly injured). One-time bonus if she loses her virginity there, but beware rape effects if she isn't devoted.

Which of these ideas do you like the most / least? What would you change?
I really like all these ideas.
This could work for many of the businesses - concubines for the brothel? assistant+artist+petting for the salon? High grade only as low grades are cheap to just buy.

I moved to Jack-o-nine-tails after finishing Strive for power. The storytelling/worldbuilding and art in Jack is leagues better, but I miss some of the mechanics of Strive, like having your slaves work for you. (Also, the veriety of exotic slaves, but that would require a huge additional art pack)

This would obviously work better with options for owning multiple slaves and "assistants"(...managers?... guards?), like how the barn works.
These mechanics could allow players to choose a (slightly) more management oriented playstyle if they wanted, rather than just grinding through one slave after the next without ever reaping the benefits of owning them yourself.

The suggestion has been shot down on this thread before, but the potential is worth considering. Maybe you can rent guarded slave quarters depending on where you live?

I would really like to see more options for the smugglers etc, the slums have so much potential.

Actually, maybe the smugglers could sell the mini slums cryo unit? Like a crappy ghetto knock off? I really don't think Serpis house would (willingly) send that tech down to the slums where it can be ripped off. I think "underground" options should be prioritized for living in the slums.

With the right additions, the early game in the slums could be greatly expanded, and very fun.

I love all of these ideas. I think they would add a lot to the game. I especially like the idea of a portable stasis chamber in the slums. Are there any content ideas for the public animal farm with cowgirls?

I've made a few long winded posts in the past regarding ideas that I think would be cool. Personally, anything that adds a sense of progression to the game is what I would like to see. The ability to use your trained slaves to give you a benefit each decade and slowly gain social and economic perks throughout the city as an alternative to just selling them over and over. A more slow and progressive movement from poor to rich allowing you to sample each city district and work for a variety of power players with their own goals and kinks would add depth and meaningful length to a playthrough. Being able to buy your own brothel and living quarters for your own workforce in order to use your slaves as employee's at various shops throughout the city in exchange for money, discounts and maybe for opening up unique missions would be much better than simply selling them to a business owner.

Adding a mini game where you work for a district guild and directly compete against guilds from other districts with the objective of building your own guild or becoming leader of an established guild and slowly conquering and taking over the city would be great. You would have to train your own fighting force to protect your business and you would need to compete in areas of technology, witchcraft, while fighting off human, vampire, and beast organizations physically and economically to outperform them and slowly buy up all of the districts and businesses to win the game. Something with strategy and depth.

If you really wanted to push boundaries you could use the latest AI technology to create much higher quality and customized visual packs for the game. I've used Daz 3D to create a custom picture and then used AI in combo to spit out a ton of quality images pretty fast. New technology that will allow two frames to be used to create AI animations are on the verge of being released publicly and could completely transform this game's visual standard and animate much of it in the not to distant future. I would consider throwing my time at a visual pack for this game if that happens.

God, I am so frustrated. Maybe I am more frustrated than I should be... I don't know.

Why are there so many fuck the player mechanics in this game? I spent like 5 hours restart spamming trying to figure out what was going on. I've spent another 5 trying to farm some money to get out of the slums. Having to run to the restaurant every day is so tedious. Having next to no stamina to work with everyday is awful. There are so many fail states that brick slaves that feel so unavoidable. Constantly whining at the slave is the only punishment type that won't disfigure the slave for some reason, but it also does nothing most of the time. Slaves mind break randomly according to abstract mechanics I don't see a way to prevent. They also either depression spiral or get absolutely spoiled to hell. The information available in game feels incomplete and vague, and the information out of game is both sparse and covers years of different patch versions with a lot of it potentially being outdated.

Now, after hours and hours of dealing with this trying to make any progress, I've started getting increasingly large extortion demands from slum thugs. I've got about 1k cash and have trained some skills, but sustaining the huge bills of the cheapest house is absolutely impossible for me. Am I really going to get stuck in the slums losing more and more money until my save is bricked? Why is this a thing? Why can't I just play at my own pace? I don't want to start again at this point.

Choose an easier slaver, like milord that grants you a good sum of 8k from the start. Get isabella, the free assistant, and get a proper house. From there on you'll likely go through about 100 days before you run out of cash. Dont bother living in the slum, those are for real masochists that knows the in and outs of the game.

If you havent already done the tutorial, do it. Try getting the slave to D-. If you cant achieve that, then dont bother going into the main game as yet. Jo9 is a brutal, pretty demanding game to learn.

First timer here, about to start playing, any tips?
Play the tutorial, choose the easy girl and get her to D+. Then do the same with the harder girl. That'll give you a good gauge as to whether you can handle the game in a real setting.

Why do my slaves randomly wake up ugly sometimes? They're in a decent mood. They're not mind breaking. They have no scars. I didn't do anything to directly cause it.

Yes. For example we put one that happens with a certain lesson given with a certain type of slave. Not discovered by anyone yet :)

It's a long term plan to add some in order to add challenges to overcome and disturb the gameplay loop. But we don't have any written in advance and we have more urgent tasks in the roadmap.

They are welcomed however and someone with good writing/coding skills is more than welcome to submit his ideas to our consensus for official implementation. (y)
It suddenly occurred to me that a large language mod like ChatGPT might help.

This is an RPG. Effects of master interactions/lessons/punishments on slave are inferior or even harmful as a function of lack of skill. Use the school/tutors/assistant and clothing bonuses to compensate for lack of skill.

This is also a sex game. Instead of eating out daily, buy drugs from the outcasts to boost your energy. Cheaper. Raise strength in other ways (hint: sex game).

Combat is optional but if you're not participating in arena events you're missing out on income and putting more time pressure on yourself.

The tutorial lectures have been updated to align with current mechanics. Also the help text throughout the game. Click on attributes, click on the ? symbols on the screens, hover over the ^ arrow on the menu icons for tooltips (as the "controls" page from the game's main menu tells you).

If you can point out things you've learned the hard way that you can't find explained anywhere, that would be helpful. This game expects players to pay close attention. It's also a game that becomes incredibly easy once you get into a cashflow positive loop.

Someone in Free Cities created a dynamic AI image generator that will create images as the game is played. I'm interested in making something similar for this game, but I'm really struggling with Qgen. I know there's some python among the game files, but does anyone know if QSP has python integration?

The process would probably be:
  1. Image is about to be called
  2. Grab slave descriptive details and what scene is needed
  3. Send to SD A1111 at some port
  4. Generate
  5. Send generated Image to /content/pic/girls/*appropriate folder*
  6. Display Image using the newly created image
It would probably be a slow process for those with lower end graphics cards, but could set up some menu options to customize the model, settings, and an off/on switch.

What I could use some help with if anyone is willing:
  1. Is there a good way to listen for when an image is about to be displayed and intercept it, aysnc for image gen, then continue? I doubt it uses asyncio or anything like that.
  2. Best way to gather slave details and scene with a python script. Are there files housing this or would they be variables that would need to be accessed in the QSP environment.
  3. I believe adding additional images instead of replacing requires creating some json files to initialize slaves.
This would allow for a customized visual experience, and you can build the image library as you play instead of trying to build out a massive library in advance.

I'll keep trying since this is something I'm personally interested in, but anything that could speed things up is appreciated. Hoping I don't have to learn QSP inside and out since my time is limited to weekends.

Most common reason for a rejection is that the slave's charm is not high enough. You can see it in the anatomy tab, but you must have auspex active. Charm must be equal to rank, A+ for this one. If you fix her charm, you can try to turn her in again after 10 days have passed.

Thanks, I guess it's the 10 days part that's missing, I fixed the charm and there wasn't anything talking about 10 days. Unfortunately, I need the money from the sale so it's save scum time for me
