why does it only play one animation for captured and then skips the rest, am I missing something?
Kinda takes away from the whole game when you can't see the corruption unfold
You can replay them everytime you want by pressing the right mouse intead of the left mouse when selecting the harvest option (try using the right mouse for other stuff to like for have quick acess to your base section menus.

Right, so I can't even play the game cuz I can't finish the very first mission of talking to everyone. When I talk to Karsis I end up stack in a loop of "object reference not set to an instance of an object" forcing me to alt+f4 since I can't even open a menu in any way. 1701871912525.png
does anyone have any solution to that problem?

That's a bug that had already been fixed in latest versions (only available in the game discord server) but you can avoid that bug in your version by keeping your mouse the furthest away from the top right corner, you know you did it right when you get a info box telling you how to interact with stuff, make sure you save everytime you can because this bug may happen again.
If you can I would sugest to grab the latest version in the server tho (free).

5th floor key doesn't grant access to the express lift to reach 5th floor. Go to 3rd floor to trigger next event. You're probably trying to use express lift from 1st floor.
Thanks man, btw are stuck on 6 pods? I created more spiky capture pods but it's not being shown. How can i use them?

Damn, Even Darkest Dungeon and Dohna Dohna let you hit more than one enemy without an ult from around the second stage.

The spiky pods are upgrades, aka they replace the pods already there. In other words, yeah you're stuck with 6 pods.
I mean vertical upgrades is actually what fits in long run. Horizontal upgrades would create management problems, imagine managing 20 pods daily interactions.

Don't know much about Dohna Dohna but at least for Darkest Dungeon AOE damage skills are almost allways a bad option unless they can stun or apply some buff/debuff that really helps or one of the target(s) is low on HP and you can kill it(them) while making some damage to the other(s).

Personally I don't think that Eld is that similar to Darkest Dungeon specially for the battle flow, let's imagine that all members have a AOE damage skill if you took the initiative you can perform 4 AOE(s) in a row killing the entire party without much challenge and that is not funny, in the future some new AOE(s) will certainly be added but they need to be well balanced, either they will need to do less damage than single target skills or cost lots of mana or have a certain amount of uses per battle/day.

To farming those skills will make things easier but I belive that in the future it will be possible to make that automatically by deploying units in the different areas and the reason why that wasn't made already is because the dev didn't wanted to make that possible this early in the game.

Had just tried the game. Still climbing the fortress. The game was fun. Sex scenes are great. The grinding is a bit too grindy for my liking, but not overwhelmingly so. The grindiest part for me was the captive grind because we are only limited to 1 talk, 1 milk, 1 sex per captive and we don't get better at grinding captive. I wish there were pod upgrades that give us more actions, or faster stats changes. And maybe birth control so that we can use the sex stats change without the chance of locking the slot for multiple days due to pregnancy.

The dungeon grind was... grindy, but feel better than the captive for me because we do get better at grinding the dungeon from more AP and getting one-hit kill. AoE damage would be nice, but I prefer if the game would be designed around faster leveling and passive resource generation over grinding the same enemies again and again.

Maybe you didn't unlock them yet but there is some "tonics" you can craft and give to your captives that help with changing their stats faster and there is one that does exactly what you asked, birth control.

Just finished the beta.

I'd say it's good but not there yet.
The story was interesting but the slow text is just ughhh...
Wish there's a way to enable instant text or skip text altogether.
Also the action points feel like it's just there to make things inconvenient.
The scenes are far from CK. Stills, with effects. Live2d or gif would have been better?
There's no way to customize your stats aside from the accessories which is limited to 4.
This is far from CK where, iirc you can put points on certain stats that allow you to play it however you want.
Glass cannon, full speed etc...

I have a quick question here, do captives ever bounce back from being exhausted? I'm on early game and it feels like a waste to have a pod occupied with nothing to show for it, but the one I've got in there has items I haven't obtained and would very much like to have. It kinda sucks that every interaction is blocked for days in the meantime.

Edit: second question, sorry, but is there a way to get more action points that I missed somewhere? Is it some potion hidden behind some character interaction you'd only get when you're absolutely incompetent and suck at everything forever and let your action points run out repeatedly? I can't get anywhere near to the fort of the electric fairies even if I save all my action points by going straight for it and doing my best at avoiding whatever could drain my AP. Is this a case of RNG fucking me in the ass as if the tentacles monsters just went gay because of the water or is it just poor design?

There is a text skip button: The /R/ key. However it's only mentioned once at the very beginning of the intro sequence, so it's easy to miss.

The climb through floor 5 is specially irritating as the action points are not enough to complete the climb. You're forced to get 1 key, sleep get another key sleep, get another yada yada... The AP is also being used to Milk prisoners but it only let's you milk them once per day. Why use AP to milk them if it's just limited anyway? Fortunately I can say i've been very patient despite the repetitive grind and meaningless fights and was able to complete the demo. Been a big fan of the original CK so I really want this game to be good and surpass CK.

Also, can we please add shortcut keys to the skills? The could be a simple 1234.

Exhausted status is permanent, you probably mixed it up with Unconscious. You can let that captive go and keep searching for another captive with those drops. drops aren't unique per say
the 2nd answer is right though.

Not exactly instant text but pressing the a 2nd time makes all the text show up but yeah there is the R key too to skip it something that was first introduced in CK chapter 7, also don't remember if version 1.0.6. already come with a text log but later versions do you can use it to read at your own pace.
