I dont think he flaked from Patreon - pretty sure he was banned. He claimed he left because "Patreon was demanding creative control"*. I dont have the statement in front of me, but I think it had to do with either loli content or incest content, I don't quite remember, but there was something that Patreon didn't like and Redamz didn't seen keen on changing. Whether he was banned or willingly left, I dont think there's been any sort of update to MGI since then. I think he just got lazy, even if he has these grand plans of other games.

wtf so complicated. He should've just assembled a team of people to help him finish MGI in 2020 while managing and directing them instead of being a lazy fuck and scamming people. This is like Konami's silent hill announcement where they announced multiple low effort generic garbage products instead of what people wanted in the first place which was Kojima productions to do a Silent Hill game.

He wasn't banned in any shape or form. He voluntarily quit after Patreon Later on, Patreon even asked him to come back but he refused.
Regardless, his creative output had almost collapsed in the months leading up to the Patreon shutdown, going from showcasing new animations every month or so in 2016-17 to repeatedly putting off finishing the missing scenes in v.0.44.3 due to, by his admission, lack of motivation. It was clear that he jumped at the opportunity to quit crowdfunding and the constant scrutiny of his lack of progress.

Years of silence and now announces he's finally dropping it to make SFW!!!! prequels, one of which is rpg maker shite. So glad I never donated. I also don't believe at all there were no people to help develop mgi and now he's whining he can't make a sequel to it alone.

This project was clearly dead before the lockdowns however alot of people kept throwing money at it due to sunk cost fallacy.

That is what he stated in the e-mail and discuss they didn't like the 'sisterly' love scene he would have with Far/Ara but the reality is that Patreon had a lot of complaints of Red not responding to tier members who had special perks and posted once a month in which those were reposted information like " Oh, chapter three is doing well." Next month: " Chapter three is going smooth -inserts a MGI girl picture-." Next Month: Chapter three is coming together nicely -insert ✌✌✌-."

Hilarious! Even Redamz himself is not as uppity about criticism and ban happy anymore as his loyal simps. I also found it funny how he said "Don't be another yandere dev" when Red has been far worse than Yandere dev for quite some time now.

Red now has to show "friendly face" ...when he starts his big campaign ...20 games / 30 engines.
