Hating on the game is significantly more fun than playing the actual game. That said, the artwork is actually quite good (even on the other version, which I personally preferred), but the pacing on both games is painfully slow, and it literally takes hours to get remotely anywhere spicy or having worthwhile progress... and then you just hit a wall of nothing, because the game never really updates in any meaningful way.
If your interested enough, go check out the original two Flash games of the basically the same name (I think they were both called Legend of Krystal in some way). One which was a shorter, linear side-scrolling fighter, and the other is more similar to this one, in that you pick a profession and can advance the story with various endings. Only downside, is if you don't care for oldschool 2D Flash animation. They're solid games though, and addictive, even if you ignore all the sexy stuff they have.

Actually, and after playing the first one, I would say no. The characters must be seen with a magnifying glass.... the backgrounds occupy almost everything you see in the game... there is an imbalance of background/characters and characters/characters scales.... the models are not sexy at all if we compare them with the previous game (that's why they have to sell christmas images and shit like that)... loading screens in abundance... crappy interface...

Game seems a bit more stable in general but man... it's a mess. No idea how the game can be in this state after all these years

The problem with this game, its development, and the developer team themselves is one thing and it's all interlinked:
They want to make a real fucking game, with combat, puzzles, traveling, and all that shit... When it is a porn game. People are going to play it to jack off. They're not playing it for your cool custom made combat system and interesting four thousand page script story.
LoK Team, if you see this comment, please just tell people what you really want to do. Please tell them you just want to make a real game and stop pretending to be porn game developers. The only one who was a porn game dev was Kuja, the original, and he clearly got sidelined by the rest of the team and is now just a normal game dev just like everyone else on the team, who has become obligated to make a porn game.
Hundreds, if not over a thousand porn games have fully been completed in the dev cycle of this one game.
Just scrap it, take what you've learned, and go make real profitable games that you can put on steam and consoles.

The developers should change the name of the game to LOK: Unborn.
went into it unaware of any of the backround feeling like it was overreaching. Unfortunate to peek at the comments and see that that's what's goin on.

I was just trying to give it some kind of compliment, instead of just have a paragraph of hate, lol. I do think the artstyle is alright, but I also agree that you have to zoom in, and the backgrounds are weirdly dominant. I also didn't like all the dialog and interaction delays; the game was already slow paced enough, it didn't need those on top of it.
I try to see it that way, but considering that the art comes from the same person who drew the previous game... I wouldn't know what to say....
Now, when it comes to special dates to expose designs like this and then present you with a game like this, I interpret that they take people for idiots.
