Randiel was in the past heavily reliable with his updates... until he burnt himself out. I heavily don't believe another update will be released to this game by Randiel himself.
The mods really need to mark this game as 'abandoned' as sad as it is until there's a new update that's been 'teased' for over a year. There's no reason why this game has some exclusion to the 16 month inactivity rule.
I had been holding out hope, since I discovered this game just before 0.10 dropped. But I guess you're right since he dodged all direct questions on the update. I just hoped that the Discord folk knew more about it

You can still play randiel 's Game "Anthrogene" - it's got a lotta horse-cocks from real stallions, over centaurs to anthro-equines.

I have learned some Coding myself and can check it, if I put my mind to it and a Dev would trust me to help them with it since I'm still mostly at home thanks to disability and no competent treatments so far. I never said I was owed an update, nor am I being an annoyance. I'm pointing out facts. By f95's rules, this game should be marked as abandoned as there has been no update in 16 months. This game, despite y'all being fans of his, shouldn't be an exclusion to this rule.

I asked I think twice or thrice in like a year, and have always been extremely supportive of the Dev because I do think he is amazing. I feel a bit sad that I got my hopes up and it would have been easier (for me) if he just told us he lost interest and stopped working on it.
Randiel does not owe us anything (also cause he already gave us such great content), but it would have been nice for him to just say "don't hold your breath guys, it's not coming".
In any case I hope his burn out gets better cause your hobby turning into a source of stress sounds terrible and I'm sorry if I conrtributed to that

For a passion project, There's many reason a dev won't make a statement, mostly due to uncertainty.
You should always NOT expect anything, it will come when it comes.
And if they didn't say they abandoned, there's always a possibility - just don't get your hope up.
(Also a fact for passion projects: Once you stopped working on it, it's quite difficult to come back.)
Inquiry about the project is fine, but constantly nagging devs for an update achieves nothing but becomes a annoyance.
Worst case scenario, the dev could totally stress out that don't want to touch the project anymore.
Now if he is charging people money (not voluntary donation) then it's a totally different story - he will then be obligated to report the status of the project.
Thanks all for the support. The last few years were a bit rough on me (a combination of personal, medical, and financial issues) so my focus was elsewhere. If status of this thread causes anyone any issues you can contact mods and request to have it changed (if they agreee that is a different matter), I am not be able to stop you from doing so. I don't know if there is a criteria for inactivity so possibly you are correct. All I know and control is that the last update of YM will happen, it is already 85% done but I'm not committing yet for any concrete date. If my thread here will still be active I will post it here, if not you will have to look for it elsewhere.
