You need to make sure that you've modified the base minidate.yml and minidate.vm files so that they fire whatever new events you installed.
I thought I did, but I'll try again soon. Any NC scenes that are worth making sure I include?

I would love to see some NC content that people have private public.
Its not like we are getting a update soon apparently.

Other scene writers might have a different view of things, but I don't plan on releasing anything substantial to the public in the future because it's entirely thankless and a lot of work. The amount of extra effort to make scenes work for every character build, NPC trait, and respect every significant decision that's relevant is really substantial and it's absolutely not worth it. When I've posted stuff in the past, I either get no response or people asking me for more stuff. So why bother? I know I'm not the only one that has scenes that I don't release because I don't want to provide tech support for them--about 90% of what people do with save editing can be done in-game via the custom scene API, but most of the people that have written their own debug/customization scenes don't want to answer a bunch (often whiny) questions about how to use them so that people can avoid playing parts of the game.

So I think you're unlikely to see a lot of new scenes, NC or otherwise, posted publicly because there's just no incentive to.

Its unfortunate that is the case but probably something that should be expected, especially with how people often act on the internet

He's done that for years. I dunno even if he means to string people along, game is a pile of spaghetti code. I've wondered for ages if he simply can't keep up with it, so he adds little things.

For any new people browsing this, just try other games in the life simulation game genre.

Recommended:

Has Male and Female Player Characters:
- Degrees of Lewdity HTML (mostly L/S though) (has text-only version, otherwise pixel paper-dolls)
- Course of Temptation HTML (college age DoL basically) (text only)

Only Female PCs:
- Girl Life QSP (Probably the most content girl life simulation game)
- Female Agent HTML (spy girl life sim) (mostly text with few paper-dolls to show clothing/lack thereof)
- Life Choices HTML (kinda grindy but has difficulty settings and is easily editable with F12 console) (has pics)

Only Male MCs:
- College Daze HTML (College Freshman gets powers from lights and falls down the rabbit hole) (has pics)

Has Transformative stuff:
- X-Change Life HTML (can take pills to change from M to F) (has pics)

To add a note to this for the people, like me, who like New Life specifically because its text-only, Course of Temptation is the only one on that list that is text-only.

Never actually heard of it before. I don't expect its as content heavy as DoL, considering DoL's from the Loli/Shota/Furry communities which are all a lot more productive than other fetish communities. I'm definitely intrigued, though.

You can actually get a text only version of DoL.

Really? Huh. Never knew. I guess that makes sense to have as a separate version, though. Lets it get past a lot more censors since the text leaves ages entirely up to the player's interpretation.

Ahem... there IS a new update. Not much, it's just the start of the PC moving into different places to stay.

IMO if you're into New Life, I think getting into LocalLlama or paying a few bucks for an AI service top play around with something like Sillytavern and character sheets covers hits a lot more higher notes with text based scenarios than NewLife at this point.
