He couldnt even finish MGI Prologue and he had planned multiple prequels? My guy you're making a porn game, not an epic that spands decades of franchising and award winning books.

Like he didn't even try to finish it, he seemengly didnt even start to develope the game he's actually "focusing" on now. That guy just seems insane lmao, I genuine dont get it

so sad for this, its have so much potential to be a good game, ngl story and gameplay is very good, hope someone could buy the game and the code to continue and finish it, the story has so much side to exploit. He created a story that's too big for him

Hello fellow MG enthusiasts! Finally decided to try and take a jab at a 3D monster girl game using Unreal, trying to get close to the features/style of Monster Girl Island.

I have created the art style, bone physics, and walking mechanics. Hope to add visual novel style dialogue as well.

I'm not trying to carbon-copy MGI, but improving on what Redamz started. Videos are attached to the post.

Any comments/criticisms welcome.

Good job there, that's a very nice start!
Just some mild critique that your outlines are very strong especially on the gras but no biggy if that's the style you are going for. Also everthing looks cel shaded except her (maybe a little test with emissive materials or a cel shader could be interesting). Her specular highlights look a little bit plasticy ;;;)

Have a look into how you want to synchronize animations between the characters and always have at your current fps because ongoing optimization us much less hassel than after it's to late. I'm eager to see more of it ;;;)

So for the characters, similar cel shading of the left one? Seemed like in MGI he used a combination of cell shading and physically-based rendering.

In terms of performance, i've practically disabled all new features of UE5 since it is a stylized game. Disabling Lumen, going back to DirectX 11, and turning off TSAA.

I remember years back on steam.. it had been like 2 years since he released it on steam (something like taht. People in the steam forums were asking why theres no update, is the dev even working on it ? yet the dev and moderators would post getting annoyed people werent being patient.

Really goes to show how even they lie and try to make the customers feel bad for even asking. A deceitful practice. As a monster girl enthusiast. It was one of the first games of this type I played, even before it hit steam or its rework (I played the very first version). See this game amounted to nothing, just feels sad. In the right hands, it could of been really good.

Wow. Very nice. It "feels" like MGI. :giggle:

Oversimplified.. you downgraded UE5 into UE4.:D

Yeah that looks much better than either of the two previous ones, good stuff!
(the character design could look more monstrous tho, but I assume this isn't the final design)
Yep, she's just a testing model to see what I can do with the engine.

In terms of making her more monstrous, in general what do you hope to see when it comes to the designs of Monster Girls?

I mean I'm not a character designer or anything, but I feel like the best monster girls have more monstrous traits than human traits. So Yiggdrasil, Mako, and Suzu are good examples cause they're humanoid, but with enough inhuman traits that you couldn't classify them as humans.

That's kinda why I think Fuyuko, Ara, and Typhon are bad monster girl designs, they just look like normal people with minimal monster traits. A lot more could have been done to make them look more like monsters, and less like normal people in cosplay.

Faranne, Shuri, Bob, and Ophelia are the only ones who can get away with having bad monster girl designs cause they aren't meant to be monsters. But then why put characters like that In a game that litterally has "monster girl" in the name? So I'd also avoid characters that aren't actually monsters (unless it's plot reasons or smth like that)
