New Screenshots for the game. use it OP if u want.
Great idea! It is really time to replace these old pics. Maybe include some more "explicit" screenshots and then tag MuffDiver to change them. This way new players can better evaluate whether or not they should spend their time trying this game ^^

I actually lol'ed at this comment. Revision....lol.

Anyway, (for future versions) isnt it technically possible, to copy this link (eekllc.com/Download/alpha/0.13.0/HouseParty.0.13.0.x64.1218.zip) somewhere, and then use some kind of automated program that will be trying urls one number at a time, a few thousand times, and after a while, you get a working link that you can use?
And as a follow up question: Would this put a load/strain on their servers? Because most of those urls will be invalid (Page Not Found).

I hope someone tech savvy can answer.

@IamDefoNotAPornAlt
@curse101

Thanks for the link btw, I appreciate it.
Yeah... but those links should not be left in the posts here. Otherwise they do get server load from unpaid players.

Of course, just me personal oppinion. It's not illegal or agains of rules of this forum, as far as I'm aware.

.

Also, game is now on sale for 40% off on Steam and Icho.io, so those that want to get stable 0.12.4 release and future stable release can get game cheaper then normal.

It's just a system I bought a couple years ago. GTX1080, i5, and 16GB of RAM. It was probably a high(ish) end system when I bought it (I only paid like around $1500 for it), but it's two years old now, so it wouldn't even qualify as high end now. So, from my vantage point, I feel like being able to have 60+ FPS in Ultra mode, the game is in a pretty good place right now running that well on a two year old system.

Personally, I think the models look vastly improved from previous versions, but again, I am running with real-time shadows ON, and that *does* make a huge difference. The characters before were cartoony, and didn't rely on shadows and light to make them look good. Now the reverse is true, so running without all the options can make them look less appealing for sure, but they look fantastic to me on Ultra. I mean some of my screenshots look just as good as a render from some of these visual novel games.

Bottom line, if your system is > 2 years old, I think you *should* need to reduce some quality options to run it, and vice verse, if your system was built in the last two years, you should be able to run the game very smoothly. I think that's right on the nose in terms of quality vs optimization. You're forgetting that even most AAA games don't have as much hair movement and breast jiggle and high def textures. That all adds up. I think they are doing the right thing catering to high end, but allowing lesser PCs to turn off options. It makes sense. In a few years, it won't even matter, and everybody will be able to play this on Ultra because people will have newer systems, and this game isn't even "finished" yet. I think they said their release date to call it done is late 2019. All of this factors in IMO.
You're insane, a GTX 1080 is a high end GPU. Your definition of "high end" must be: "The best GPU on the consumer market" because the 1080 was the second best GPU of its time after the 1080 ti was released, and the best GPU of its time when Nvidia launched its GTX 10 series cards (Pascal).

The 1080 is still a high end GPU, and roughly equivalent to an RTX 2070 in terms of performance. The 2070 is considered high end, with the X060 GPU's being traditionally in the mid end category.

As for the graphics, the game couldnt possibly hope to compete with AAA titles, the graphics are vastly inferior to modern 2019 AAA games.
Not only has hair movement existed in video games for many years now, but things like physics simulation for breast jiggle and high def textures have existed for well over a decade, and not just for popular AAA games; Illusion games are probably a prime example of this, making heavy use of breast jiggle and yes in some of their games high def textures (the newer games).

TL;DR; You dont seem to have a very good idea of what you're talking about. Your system sounds like a pretty capable high end gaming rig (of course not the best), and House Party is poorly optimized for what it offers, especially when compared to popular Illusion games (and those arent even AAA titles).

P.S. I have a GTX 970. Of course HP runs perfectly fine on your 1080, DUH. It would be absurd to expect the GTX 1080 to not be able to handle this game.

I feel like the tags should be significantly updated as well. Striptease? Flash? I mean, sure.. but this game has exhibitionism, enf, masturbation (both male and female), male protagonist, corruption, voyeurism, gay... there's probably more I'm missing. It would be nice to see that main post get updated. The description text is inaccurate also. The game isn't free, and there's tons of story now. Here's the text from their Steam page:

"You're invited to our House Party! It's YOUR night! The choice is yours to be well-behaved, or completely inappropriate! New opportunity or peril could be waiting behind all your in-game choices. Come on in... the party’s already started! The only thing missing is YOU!"

You can get a 1080 for a few hundred bucks. It's not like I have the best 1080 on the market either. I forgot exactly what I have, but if I bought it two years ago *included* in a system that I paid $1500 for on Amazon, I doubt it's the end-all high end GPU you're making it out to be. I wouldn't exactly call that high-end. The 1080 was honestly the biggest draw to my buying the system because I wanted to game on it. You could probably buy the same system today for less than $1k.

It's semantics though. I don't think I'm "insane" because I don't consider my two year old i5 "high end" just because I sprung a little extra to get a two year old 1080 in it. My point was that in a few years, 1080s will be the norm, and everybody will run HP fine, and the game isn't even coming to full release until later this year. I'm just saying, I think it's fine, especially for an indie game. I don't expect them to have AAA optimization, but I think for what they are doing, it's pretty good.

I'm also not saying the graphics are as good (or better) than AAA titles, but even with HP as is, I get better frame rates from this game than some AAA titles that I play. The graphics in HP are pretty damn good IMO for an indie game. Can they be more optimized? Probably, but I think the game looks great on Ultra, and all I'm saying is that I can see where all that processing is going to.

Also, you can't compare to Illusion games because they typically are rendering one character at a time, and HP can be rendering up to what, 15? If HP had as few chars on the screen as Illusion games, I'm sure the performance would be much better.

It works much better at lower details now.

But those lower details do affect a lot details of character models, so it's a compromise.

I wish I could play this again but its so choppy I cant enjoy to well
Did you try fiddling with the graphics options? You should be able to find a good setting to play it at in there. Ultra quality (the default) is demanding on older systems.

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm having problems with the shaders (when I get close to a character the meshes stretch out, same thing happens on the player model, it's creepy). Is it related to dx11? Any other ideas? I'm kinda lost

is there any sex content for leah?
You can force it, with a command. But she doesn't actually have any story content yet. She's just been put out in a beta state. Few plot explanation convo lines, not voiced, and at a certain point you run out of things to say to her and there's a line complaining she doesn't have enough content yet.

If I were to guess, I'm betting the purpose of her content will be a Drunk and Disorderly. Also she makes some vague lesbian hints toward Brittney.

Honestly her inclusion seems to be based on adding the butt giggle physics, which is very apparent if you follow her anywhere.

guy ...
i need save game ..
Save game won't help, a lot of the new content actually happens in first conversations. In fact, the Patrick stuff won't trigger until you find him and Rachel at the beginning of the game.

Can you write down the command?

House Party actually made a huge commotion when it hit Steam almost like.. wow I guess almost two years ago now. It was one of the first adult games to be let on the platform completely uncensored, but then it ended up getting censored with a patch. But yeah, it's one of the best selling adult games on Steam of all time.

Man, I saved the game right before having sex with Ashley. So I loaded it, and now she is naked but I can't click on her. Anyone else had this bug? 1551800547409.png
