If you're like the 90% of other people that had this problem, you probably have an i-patch installed. Since there's not a new i-patch for chapter 4 (and probably won't be for a while, if ever), the story stops at the end of the patch. To get chapter 4, you need a install that doesn't have the patch, and a clean save. Chapters 1-3 have some reworked dialogue to address the removal of incest from the plot.

I think it's only been a few years, but they do mention somewhere in the game. Leia is his "neice" sort of, and he had her take over while he was in. There were battles with the Krayts after that.

Since chapter 4 released on July 4th. Ocean rewrote some of the plot so that Will and Leia aren't biologically or legally related to the Zanes anymore.
I propose another change to the scenario: simply change the mafia to a dictatorship or a cult. You could then argue it was simple brainwashing from a young age. I even have a very catchy porn name for the leader.You're making me angry all over again...
That William render still pisses me off. I just wanna bash his skull in with a socket wrench (get it?) while I ask him calmly:
"WHY THE FUCK DID YOU COME BACK THEN YOU BRAINDEAD MONKEY?!?!!?!?"
And he replies as every bone in his face breaks and he drowns in blood:

So can you not play this with a Ipatch anymore? I'm not even a big fan of it but after playing the original, it made no sense without a patch and now I don't know how to play it without Leia and William being twins. Taking out the patch might have killed this game for me if so.

Fact 1: The original has absolutely nothing in common with today's story, apart from the characters, and is IRRELEVANT!
Fact 2: Ocean wants to sell his VN, and the sales platforms don't tolerate incest.
Fact 3: Ocean shows little to no consideration for our wishes.
Now, regarding your opinion that the story doesn't make sense to you just because William and Leia are no longer siblings. I have to tell you that you're asking the wrong question. We know that about 20 or 30 years ago, there was a mafia war in which at least four people lost their lives. This raises the first question: What was the cause and who was involved? As a result of this conflict, Helen took William and Leia in. Here's the second question: Why?
It's well known that people can be quite vindictive in mafia circles, and rivalry is part of everyday business. Is there a possibility that the conflict from back then continues to have repercussions today?

I imagine this is Ocean's motivation, but he has to find a balance between the mafia and their interpersonal relationships. Otherwise, William's return seems out of nowhere, and every cute/affectionate moment (which I adore, by the way) feels out of place.
That they are allies is clear, but there should be men loyal to Helen (or Dylan)
Dylan's plan is understandable: he appears weak in order to lure some of the attackers into a trap and track down the mastermind. The problem is that the Zanes don't appear weak, they are.
Ocean has rewritten the story to eliminate and discourage any form of incest within it. So the mod should not change some terms like landlady and roommate but basically rewrite the story.
I think Ocean wants you to be satisfied as an answer that they thought they couldn't have children

thats kind of sad first 3 chapters made so much sense of them being biological family... then chapter 4 hit and turns it on its head. Yes i know Ocean wants to sell it and most platforms frown on it. Just feels like two different stories now... kinda makes me feel sad in the end.

As much as people think the original story made sense, it didn't.
If William feared the repercussions from his "inappropriate" relationship with Leia being discovered, then why the hell didn't he take her with him when he fled?

Despite the changelog being posted announcing over 4,000 new renders, despite all the updated information on Steam and GoG. Fuck, despite all of this, there are still people who writing "I launched the game and there's nothing new. Stupid Ocean hasn't done anything in a year. I'm so disappointed."
