if you get things for ZERO time and resources you put into seeing results ( in which im guessing some ppl are not stating they are involved in) do you really REALLY expect to see anything other than ZERO be in your hands that's worth just that? common sense talk now, and I mean this so put this as a tack: if you give your value which you hold in any sense do you expect what you receive in either less, equal, or greater value? if you enjoy or hate something and you get it without ANY sort of give then do you deserve more or less? in this thought don't demand for more because you haven't put anything other than time as a value. as for the argument its my win since I see nothing more than time being the excuse as for " I want to see more". I just want to know when, and not demand the now. also i said NEVERMIND ABOUT THE NUKE READ MY QUOTE.
LMFAO. Dude, just stop. I was laughing reading your response because it is clear you think you are some genius intellectual yet you cant even form a proper sentence. Seriously, your first sentence, if we can even call that a sentence is one of the most contrived, garbled things I have read on the internet in a while. That is saying something. You are trying to say something as well I assume but I don't think anyone without a decoder ring and a map would be able to figure it out.

It is clear you don't have a coherent response to your ridiculous argument and as I said anyone can have an opinion on anything they want. You have no say in that, zero, none, zip, nothing. Let that sink in, embrace it. Put that in your hands...

I thought about trying to translate whatever you wrote into a coherent thought but I fear it might make me go blind.

Well, it doesn't make really make sense, since even those who do not donate a cent can download the game for free basically right away - give or take a couple of hours. So it's not like with all those other games where you'd have to be a patreon to play. If you want to stop being a patreon, you can just stop and will still get the game the same day as somebody who spends $20. But sure, if you think it's that bad, there's probably no need to even talk about it.

Edit: Just by the way, I'm fairly certain that the public bug/issue tracker will be connected to their internal system and thus will likely include everything a beta tester can find, from real bugs to small typos.
Most devs use the same excuses to delay the release after the 1st of the month because every start of the month experiences a fall in patrons.

If the game comes out before May or it comes out in May but isn't broken and full of bugs like it always is then I'll take it back and admit I was wrong.

Can anyone share the incest patch and the walkthrough cuz the links in the op don't work...
This is the best patch from what I have seen and as for the walkthrough on the first page of this thread click the link that says wiki and then click the link on the left side that says walkthrough.

My theory is that he's pushing it back to the 1st or 2nd so he can get the Patreon direct deposit on the 1st. I get the feeling he changed something big, or added something that people are not going to be happy about, especially considering he's already stated he's removed the night-time rapey stuff with Jenny and is working on replacing it with more content for her route.

So here's a theoretical timeline:
-May 1st, the Patreon money hits and he has an idea of what the May money looks like, how many patrons are left, etc. etc.
-May 2nd, the update drops. "DC, you FUCK! You completely ruined the Jenny arc and cut all this content only to replace it with shit!"
-May 3rd, F95 and the patreon are a nuclear zone, DC says that he's working on the Eve update, it'll be huge, etc. etc. The numbers hit a big drop and gradually raise over the course of the next four month update.
-September 1st, repeat.

I don't know. SS is great, but if it wasn't for the writing, I don't know how many people would play it. One thing I've noticed in my years of playing lewd games, the writing is always either in broken English to the point of unreadability, or it's written in such a forced and fast way that you don't get the enjoyment out of the sex and progression that you should, because it's accessible so quickly. That's where DC succeeds. The game is well-written. The characters are fleshed out and have unique personalities and voices so recognizable that no voice work is even necessary. The scenes presented are made even more appealing because by the time you get to the good stuff, many times you've had hours with the character in question, and have gotten to know them. SS is written like the characters are more than just something to jerk off to.

By the same token, that art by itself makes me want to gouge my eyes out sometimes. Each one feels like a fetish character--way more so than most games of this type--while somehow STILL having almost the exact same huge tits and massive nipples and areolas. Mrs. Johnson naked looks so fucked up. June and Judith are both gross. The principal with her new look looks even worse than before somehow. All the characters look like fucked up balloon animals, with these overinflated tits, massive nipples, and bodies that just look...wrong. So it speaks volumes to the fact that he's managed to make this the NUMBER SEVEN highest earning patreon on the entire site. He needs to hire at least one more artist. There's undoubtedly artists out there more than talented enough to help him make scenes (especially given reference frames) who would LOVE an opportunity to work on the game. But, it's probably easier just to do things at his own pace and set himself up for a while, since there's tons of other patrons who flat out love the art, don't care about the wait, and don't care about the changes.

Yes, but those devs make people pay to download their game and if you aren't a patreon, you won't get the game. Thus there's of course a strong incentive to get to the next month. That's not the case for SS though, since you'll get the game anyway, no matter wether you pay or not. There's just no incentive to pledge if you don't want to. You can stop paying at the 30th of april and still simply play for free on may the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or when ever the game comes out.

Well sure, one would hope that Jenny's route gets a complete rework, because as it is now it's the worst one in the entire game. The whole Somrak connection has to go and all those "trial and error" bed/shower stuff is really bad game design. Add, that most of her quests consist of simply buying stuff in the sex shop and one would really hope that he'll revamp it completely. I mean, it was efficient when he had to release fast updates in the beginning, but I really hope he'll raise it to the level of Roxxy and Diane.

And? That doesn't mean anything. Every month there's still a drop so the monetary incentive is to release it slightly after the pledges come in.

Seems we're all in luck! Are you stopping by to offer any clarifications or just chillin while waiting for the rest of the things to be fixed before this update can be release?

Edit: I don't mean this to be a dick...I realize you are the only coder on a project like this, which is oversized in scale.

Well, the drop happens every months and will happen, no matter when the release is going to be. , there's no indication that people would stop being a patreon, right after an release. Last year's numbers in april+may were basically the same, so were july+august and november+december. So the notion, that there are a huge number of people who are just waiting to stop pledging but don't because there's a release is simply not supported.

Partly just chilling, fixing bugs, and feeling the hype around the release at the same time. I'm going to be completely honest, this part of developpment is my least favorite one, where you're just endlessly fixing bugs after bugs (even though I initially coded with care to try to have as few bugs as possible), and at the same time, the community is putting pressure on you cause "muh update, muh milking".

I just hope that yall will like jenny as much as you loved roxxy, cause there has been a great deal of care put into her, and her story feels brand new.

I don't think you understand what you're even saying. Devs delaying their updates after the 1st is well known and it happens often. Stop playing dumb.

Anyway, our back and forth is pointless anyway. When the update comes out we'll talk again. If it comes out full of bugs and it's delayed past the 1st of may, then I'll reply with "I told you so".

I don't think you understand that SS is different in this case because it's free. That's why those general comparisons are useless and actually wrong. If anything you'll have to compare it to games which are free as well.

Edit: To explain again:

Most other games: You stop your pledge at the last day of the month -> game gets released on the 1st -> you get nothing.

Don't tell me there's no difference.

Yeah, what's great about SS is that the build up is top notch, it's not too long like A LOT of games here when after two years of development the MC only recieves a HJ, or on the contrary too quick.

Easy, people changing their pledge. I'm actually one of them, since I only pay 5 bucks when ever there's a vote going on and else either pay $1 or nothing. Patreon adds pledges during the month but doesn't subtract those who stopped their pledges right away. That means at the end of the month everybody who canceled or adjusted his/her pledge during the month will be thrown out and the numbers go down. There are 17.000 people and of course there's a certain fluctuation going on.

The same exact pattern exists for every patreon, not just those that have polls every month. DC had the same pattern before he ever introduced polls to begin with.

Sure, did I ever deny that? I said that there's no incentive to pledge if you just want to play the game and you keep ignoring that, claiming that DC is going to make extra money by delaying the update. And you still haven't explained how, by the way.

No, you said that the dips represent people that change up pledges because of voting on polls, and I'm telling you that the trend existed before polls.

The trend exists for other games as well that also have only free releases. You're getting really tiresome and I think you're being thick on purpose just to frustrate me.
